Yosemite RV Resort, RVC Outdoor Destination (formerly Yosemite South , Coarsegold, California

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

To be fair it's California in September during the worst drought in decades. That said, this place could use some work. Sites are fairly good size but are not level. It's nothing but dust and dirt. Supposedly, there's WiFi but we couldn't get it to work the 2 days we were there. Even cell phone reception is sketchy. They are supposedly renovating, but all we saw were people cutting down dead trees. Expensive rate for what you get. We camped at Yosemite RV Resort, RVC Outdoor Destination (formerly Yosemite South in a Fifth Wheel.

Yosemite Ridge Resort, Groveland, California

Good news is it's a nice, quiet park with good sized sites. BUT their reservations system is AWFUL! We made reservations online and received an e-mail confirmation. But when we arrived, they had us down for arriving on the following day. Evidently, the owner is only onsite during the summer season, but continues to take the reservations from his location on the east coast and then calls someone onsite to enter them on the books. Receipe for disaster. Thank goodness they had another site available for the first night and then we had to move to another site for the rest of our stay. Park needs some TLC. Water pressure is terrible, bathrooms need upgrading and we had a constant issue with gnats in our face. But the owner decided to spend his money on putting in a swimming pool. Also, they double charged us for our stay because the person working the desk the day we left couldn't find their copy of the receipt. Luckily, we had ours and she reversed the duplicate charge. We camped at Yosemite Ridge Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Riverpark RV Resort, Grants Pass, Oregon

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Almost hate to put up this review as we want to keep this place to ourselves. That said, this is a wonderful little park right on the Rogue River. We stayed here 4 days and although we were unable to get a riverfront site, we could still hear the river and were just a few steps away from it. We were there over Memorial weekend and it was completely full. Would love to go back when it's not a holiday weekend. Some sites are a little tight, but folks were considerate and it was quiet at night. Lots of trees and great scenery. Staff is friendly, helpful and available. We camped at Riverpark RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Scandia RV & Mobile Park, Bend, Oregon

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Cute little park hidden in a little nook off of a main road. We were worried that being so close to the road and next to a Wendy's that it would be noisy. Not the case. Very quiet with nice big sites. Bathrooms and showers were very clean and each site had a patch of grass with a picnic table. Would definitely return to this park. We camped at Scandia RV & Mobile Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Really great park with lots of friendly people and a very helpful and friendly staff. Bathrooms and showers were clean and water pressure in the shower was outstanding, the best we had anywhere. There is shopping nearby. Park was very quiet at night. Would stay here again. We camped at Ambassador RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Cowboy RV Park, Pocatello, Idaho

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We were looking for a place to spend one night while traveling through Idaho. This place had a strange vibe with lots of full time residents. Our site was on a downhill slope and up against a cyclone fence. Very small park although it had full amenities with the exception of a pool. Would not stay here again. We camped at Cowboy RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

USA RV Park, Gallup, New Mexico

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $34.00

Not a bad park. Had all the amenities except the pool was not open. The biggest problem we had was the airplanes flying right over the trailer from a nearby municipal airport. Other than that, it was an okay place. No grass, just paved sites but they were good sized. We camped at USA RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
