Nice Lake! Nice view! We were about 200 ft away from the water. I only give 5 out of 10 rating due to the fact its just a place to park and get electric/water. That is actually pretty good for a state park, but higher ratings are for reserved for parks that offer more at comparable prices. If the park only charged $20, I'd say that would be a more fair price for what it offers. Again, nothing wrong with the park itself..clean bathrooms and showers. If you don't tow a vehicle, be sure to have bikes as there isn't any close places to go eat. You can walk, but if you go out for dinner, you may not want to walk all the way back...especially in the dark. There is a cut through that is a small bike path to help you out. There is also a boat ramp if you have a boat, right at the sites. Which also means it is loud during the day with boats go by...very loud at times. But again, all depends what you're there for. For us, it served it's purpose. Personally, I think they are a bit pricey for what they offer...comparable to other places we've been.

Don't let the surroundings put you off. Once inside the park, your rig is safe. They have a gate that closes at 5pm but you can still come and go as you please. The owner's are really down to earth, great people, and helpful. This park really worked for us because the bus stop was right across the street and took us anywhere we needed to go. So, you don't need your own vehicle here. Everything here was great, for us. If I had to pick something to criticize, I guess I'd say maybe the nearby train may be loud at times if you are here to rest and relax. Overall, a great spot if you're here to see the sites of New Orleans.

Nice park. Level paved parking. Short walk to the facilities and store. No Wi-Fi at site, had to walk to store. Deluxe sites had big grills and seating area to entertain. No complaints.
