Phillips RV Park, Evanston, Wyoming

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Gravel spaces, weeds and a picnic table. Easy on/off Interstate.

Long freight trains run all night, add in Interstate truck noise and full time residents that leave for work at 4 am. Needless to say, no sleep. Look elsewhere for an overnight stay. We camped at Phillips RV Park in a Motorhome.

Zane Grey RV Park (55+ park), Camp Verde, Arizona

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

About 8 miles from Interstate. Very quiet. Lots of shade. Pull through sites are spacious. We found to be Very dog friendly. They have a small doggie fenced area plus a 1/2 mile walking path to a river stream. Friendly staff people who ask that your dog not use the grass area and not be kept unattended. Lots of happy campers who really enjoyed the campground setting. Closeness to lots of attractions, hiking and beatiful scenery. Gravel roads and sites that are raked after each use. Will definitely return and our Golden Retriever enjoyed his stay under the cottonwood trees and shade. We camped at Zane Grey RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Hearthside Grove Motorcoach Resort, Petoskey, Michigan

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $53.00
Overall Rating:

Convient location from town. Gated entrance.

What a special and beautiful place. Best campground we have stayed at. Friendly workers. We stayed five nights and although most of the campground was empty (late in season) we really enjoyed our stay. The grounds, facilities, and landscaping were beyond first class. This facility deserves a 15 rating it is that special. We camped at Hearthside Grove Motorcoach Resort in a Motorhome.

Vallecito Resort, Bayfield, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for a month. The park was very busy but we had a nice site in somewhat crowded conditions. There are a lot of seasonal park model residents. The people were extremely friendly and thee are a lot of activities like pot lucks, Saturday breakfast and other events. The access to the the beautiful lake, surrounding Colorado areas like a Durango, Silverton, and Ouray made this a great place to spend a summer month. Weather was beautiful. WiFi worked pretty good most of the time. Would definitely return and recommend a stay here. We camped at Vallecito Resort in a Motorhome.

Chatfield State Park, Littleton, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

What a great state park in the Denver area. We stayed 5 nights in Loop D. Roads are all paved, wide and campsite was outstanding.

Hookups are perfectly located. Easy drive in to site with large patio and fire ring. Lots of separation between sites. Quiet. Enjoyed the Hotair balloons overhead, bike trails galore. A true urban oasis. Have booked 14 nights ( maximum) for May 2015. We camped at Chatfield State Park in a Motorhome.

Stayed for one night with a 40 foot rig. Easy access off Hwy 50. One lane bridge and entrance to the park looks intimidating but is easy to access. Campground roads are wide. Dakota Ridge RV Park, Golden, Colorado

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $53.00
Overall Rating:

Everything about the location of this campground is great....Close to Denver, Golden, Mountains, Boulder, Colorado Springs. Inside the campground comes the disappointment. We were here for two weeks and found road noise, excessive noise from a manufacturing facility right next door..lots of beeping fork lifts. The sites are narrow and when it rains you step right onto mud and grass. The interior roads are crumpling and there are some spots that have potholes and raised asphalt. The sites are so close together we had a small section to put a chair out that was even level. In talking to our neighbors over the two weeks everyone had the same disappointment over the crowded conditions. Not worth the price for the cramped conditions. The owners need to do some serious upgrades to the roads. We stayed in a Motorhome and found leaving our site to be a challenge due to the closeness and overhang on other campers. We will not return nor recommend for any extended stay. We even witnessed a military member with an emergency where the Campground would not refund their four last nights. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.
