Hungry Horse Campground, Dorr, Michigan

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Great little park with a very 'park like' feel. Nice spacing between campsites, lots of grass and trees. The seasonal campers' areas were neat and orderly. We were just here briefly for an overnight, but would definitely stay again if we were in the area. We camped at Hungry Horse Campground in a Motorhome.

Two Rivers Campground, Skowhegan, Maine

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

Two Rivers was great! The staff was nice, friendly & efficient, our site was perfect, the bathroom facilities were good and the view was perfect. Very strong wifi signal which is amazing for an RV park. They could have charged premium $$$ for this spot based on what we've been paying, yet it was reasonable and fantastic! If you're traveling in this area, you owe it to yourself to stay here - a real treat! We camped at Two Rivers Campground in a Motorhome.

Bar Harbor / Oceanside KOA, Bar Harbor, Maine

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $95.00
Overall Rating:

This campground was a huge disappointment, cramped site and very poor value. I was stunned that it got some high ratings. The people on both sides were extremely close and the campers on our hookup side had their dog pen right next to our hookups. There was no grass, no gravel, just mainly dirt which turned to mud after the rain. I expect more from a KOA based on past experiences, but this was just a big ripoff, all because they're close to the beach. Not all KOAs are great but you can expect a certain level of comfort that this campground totally lacked. We camped at Bar Harbor / Oceanside KOA in a Motorhome.

Hid'n Pines Family Campground, Old Orchard Beach, Maine

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $76.00
Overall Rating:

This place is a pricey but the location is great, the bathrooms were some of the nicest and cleanest we've ever encountered. The sites are pretty close together and there were LOTS of little kiddos riding bikes all over the place, which is sometimes unnerving with vehicles and trailers using the same roads. There is a nice grocery store about 10 minutes away (by foot) and you can easily walk into town in less than 20 to 30 minutes, which is very convenient. There is also a little trolley system which is only $1 per person but we elected to walk. There are lots of little shops and restaurants in town and it was buzzing!!! We camped at Hid'n Pines Family Campground in a Motorhome.

Camden Hills State Park, Camden, Maine

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice, spacious and somewhat secluded camp sites. Our site was not level which was a bit problematic and OK for us but a larger RV would have had issues fitting in the space. Bathrooms were a 3 to 4 minute walk. The Rangers at the front were very nice & friendly. We camped at Camden Hills State Park in a Motorhome.

Bay View Campground, Bourne, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

We found Bay View to be pricey for a cramped, nothing special site. The wifi was pathetic, especially for the price. Their bathrooms were clean and the showers were nice but still very tight. The laundry facility was the most I've ever paid $3.25 per load for wash and .25 for 4 minutes of drying time. Two loads was $10.oo and there were no baskets or carts to transfer from the washers to the dryers. The campsites were very close and there were a lot of seasonal campers which equals lots of 'stuff' around their trailers/motorhomes. Not sure we'd ever stay here again. We camped at Bay View Campground in a Motorhome.

Cherry Hill Park, College Park, Maryland

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $63.00
Overall Rating:

I cannot say enough about the staff here. As other reviewers mentioned, the staff here is friendly, extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The park holds a 'tours' seminar every afternoon at 4:00 that's very informative. The metro bus picks up at the park several times a day and takes you to the metro rail system which was very convenient. They have a large laundry facility, clean showers and bathrooms and a great little cafe/grill which offers good food at very reasonable prices. There are so many activities for people with kiddos - splash pads, two pools, miniature golf, playgrounds & tractor rides. We camped at Cherry Hill Park in a Motorhome.

Westport Campgrounds, Westport, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

After reading RVP reviews and looking forward to our stay, we were very disappointed in Westport. It seemed like MOST of the occupants were long term, with lots of unnecessary 'stuff' around the sites. The bathrooms and showers were just acceptable. The hook-up for our sewer was the most 'mickey mouse' set up we have ever seen. Sadly, we would not consider staying here again. We camped at Westport Campgrounds in a Motorhome.

Trailer Ranch RV Park (55+ Park), Santa Fe, New Mexico

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed here before and my biggest complaint would be that the restrooms are cleaned during a period in the morning before checkout, when most people are trying to shower so they can leave on time. My only other complaint would be that they are sticklers for no late arrivals (we stayed there before and knew the drill, so there should have been some slack for circumstances beyond control). The bus system into downtown is VERY convenient and inexpensive which saves you the hassle of parking. We camped at Trailer Ranch RV Park (55+ Park) in a Motorhome.

Rainbows End RV Park, Sequim, Washington

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

The park is SO pretty, when your 1st enter, however our site was very undesirable, small and flanked by permanent residents. The bathroom and showers seemed clean but dated. The office staff was friendly, the internet and TV were good.

The location is very good but there are not a lot of premium spaces and the price seems high. We camped at Rainbows End RV Park in a Motorhome.

Lewis & Clark Golf & RV Park, Astoria, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

This park is in a great location and very close to downtown Astoria. The grounds and golf course looked well maintained. As other reviewers have mentioned there is only one shower for the entire park which is why I didn't rate it higher. Also, your neighbor's sewer tank is located by your picnic table. They appear to have many permanent residents but their spaces were near the back. They do require cash or a check for payment. We camped at Lewis & Clark Golf & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Sioux City North KOA, North Sioux City, South Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This KOA is old and dated, but the facilities were clean and the staff was great.

It appeared like there were a lot of permanent residents which usually equals lots of 'stuff' in their spaces (and in some cases just plain junk), which always seems to detract from the ambience of the park. I don't believe it was 'dumpy' as another reviewer wrote, but I agree that the rate was high for this particular park. We camped at Sioux City North KOA in a Motorhome.

Branches of Niagara Campground and Resort, Grand Island, New York

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

We loved Branches and thought it would be an absolutely excellent choice for people with children. They have lots of activities for kids - volleyball, tether ball, little carts and bikes for rent, fishing - just endless possibilities. The setting is incredible. The staff quite friendly.

The bathrooms were VERY nice. In our travels, we always ask ourselves why people don't put benches in shower rooms, hooks for your clothes and a shower rack for soap and shampoo - Branches had it covered! The showers, bathrooms and laundry facility (albeit it small - 2 washer and 2 dryers) we all quite clean. I ran out of quarters and asked if I could get $3 in quarters for the laundry and the clerk actually said I could buy a roll if I wanted! Very sweet! We camped at Branches of Niagara Campground and Resort in a Motorhome.

Richmond KOA, Richmond, Indiana

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Richmond KOA is an older park, but the owners go above and beyond in making it a great place to stay. The park is very well kept and is a delightful place for people with children (actually, we don't have children and still found it delightful). They show movies in a little outdoor theatre in the evenings, there's a pond for fishing and a nice playground for children.

This is one of the nicest KOA's we've stayed at! We camped at Richmond KOA in a Motorhome.
