Stayed here 2 nights. The campsites are spacious, all back in, with tables, grills, and fire pits (bring your own wood). Roads are good. The restrooms and play areas were clean. Just what you would expect from a state maintained campground. The campground is elevated above a low swampy area. We found many mosquitoes in the camper, but they didn't bother us much outside. I bet they are terrible in the summer. We heard gnats are bad in the summer too. The campground is nicely kept and rangers patrol just enough that you know they are there if you need them. The campground is very close to NO, about 3 miles close and there is some road noise as the campground is just off a major highway, but it didn't bother us at night at all. We will definitely stay here again as long as it is in winter. Many sites had wood decks.

We were here for one night attending a dog show at the convention center about 2 miles away. Very nice park with concrete roads and pads, almost plush. Grounds are very clean, and staff is very nice. Residential on one side and self storage units on the other. The front is commercial. It was quiet at night. The only downside is the sites are very close to one another and shade is very limited. We were in a back up space. There is room for your RV and a car, but little else. Most every space had a bench seat that turns into a table. I would definitely stay here again.

Visited for a quick overnight stop. The campground is close to a river and we could hear airboats in the distance until dark. Not a problem, just an observation as we don't hear airboats often. Later in the night, I heard a whippoorwill for the first time in years. The park is older catering to longer term visitors, but offered us all we needed for a quick stay. Staff is friendly, grounds are clean, and we only saw a few visitors (a family and 2 couples). Everyone was nice and it was very quiet even though close to a highway. We would stay here again.
