Vineyard RV Park, Vacaville, California

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

Needed a quick overnight on a long trek home. Arrived around 7:30 or 8:00 PM. Met by a very helpful young woman, who gave us our choice of back-in or pull-through. Took the pull-through so wouldn't have to unhook. She led us to the site on an ATV. Somewhat narrow, but okay for our little rig. Brand new picnic table. Electrical, sewer, water connections were in excellent condition.

Big place. Not sure how many are full-timers. Have a variety of RV sites, tent cabins. Nice pool area. Very easy off/on I-5. Quiet at night. Very nice big trees. Will be back. We camped at Vineyard RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Munds Park RV Resort, Munds Park, Arizona

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice camp with huge, mature trees. Showers and bathrooms were great. Best we've seen on our trip. Hookups were easy, including Cable and Phone (didn't use either, though). Seemed to be filled with full-time trailers, though we rarely saw anyone walking around. Not sure if these are people who leave their trailers here permanently and just come in for weekends or what. The camp is somewhat isolated--about an hour to Sedona. We drove down one morning, but it was mid-90s in Sedona. Went back to the camp and lounged around in the mid-80s. Would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Munds Park RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Big Pine Campground, Custer, South Dakota

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful camp, shaded by mature ponderosa pines. Very friendly hosts. They escorted us up to our spot and helped us back in and get situated. We had a reservation for Memorial Day weekend, but we called ahead and came in a day early. Then, when we discovered how much there was to see in the area, we asked for an additional night. Would camp there again. We camped at Big Pine Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Douglas KOA, Douglas, Wyoming

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Arrived at dusk on the tail end of a thunderstorm. Still sprinkling, and the wind was howling. So setup was rushed! Quiet location well off I-80. Lots of trees, but not in full leaf-out yet. Gravel grounds with small patches of grass here and there. Friendly staff led us to our site, pointed out all the connections. The wind died down sometime in the night, and we woke to a beautiful sunny day. Would stay here again. We camped at Douglas KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Wendover KOA, West Wendover, Nevada

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Very empty during our stay on a Monday. Slight freeway noise, level gravel sites. Wi-Fi very weak. Couldn't even see the network at our site. Nice office with helpful staff. Cable TV worked well. Only problem with our site was the sewer connection was uphill and our trailer is low to the ground. Water doesn't flow uphill. As someone said, this isn't a destination site, but okay for an overnight. Might use it again. We camped at Wendover KOA in a Motorhome.
