Country Aire Campground, Charlemont, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

The rules have changed on laundry hours. Though the doors are closed and lights out in the evening, the laundry is open. We asked when we checked in about the hours and were assured that we could use it in the evening, just please turn off the lights and close the doors, twisting the handle to close the door tightly. Tabletop hadn't been cleaned, but someone might have left it dirty earlier. There are 2 chairs and 2 baskets with hanger arms. Very pleased with large, grassy sites. Roads were very easy to navigate. We camped at Country Aire Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Okaw Valley Kampground, Brownstown, Illinois

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

We were staying only one night. The owner filled us in on what they had to offer. Wide pull-through sites, well shaded with mature trees. A nice pond that's stocked for fishing! Great place to walk a dog, both in the campground and on a dead-end road nearby. The owners are wonderful! Friendly and helpful. On our way out of the park, through our own fault, we hit a fire ring and destroyed two tires on our trailer. The owners pulled those tires off our trailer and contacted the tire dealer in Vandalia to make sure they had the tires we needed. While I was gone, they were concerned about my wife's being outside in the cold and would have invited her in to stay warm with them (except that she was walking the dog off the property, so they couldn't find her). When I got back they remounted the tires so we could quickly get back on our way. And they were very understanding about our having uprooted the fire ring. We camped at Okaw Valley Kampground in a Fifth Wheel.
