Flagstaff KOA, Flagstaff, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $59.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in a 38FT moho Memorial weekend. Roads are narrow but no problem if you know how to drive. Lots of trees and backs to national forests. This KOA had more of a campground feel, sites are gravel and you do need to level. Bathrooms were clean and campground was very full. Staff was friendly, breakfast was great at the camp kitchen and campground is very dog friendly. There is a area for kids to play with movies ect. Nice to find a KOA that is in a forest and not a large parking lot! We will stay here again. We camped at Flagstaff KOA in a Motorhome.

Easy trip to Sadona and Grand Canyon, lots of hiking. If you want a flat parking lot this is not for you. Beautiful trees and forest giving this park a true campground feel.

Rockwell RV Park, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Easy park to get to off I-40 in Oklahoma City. Very busy with sites that are close together. Staff was helpful. We paid 35.00 for a pull thru 50 amp site. Park does offer indoor pool, Jacuzzi and bath house. Sites are gravel and level. Good overnight park. All guests were quiet during night hours. We would stay here again as a overnight stop. We camped at Rockwell RV Park in a Motorhome.

Robbers Cave State Park, Wilburton, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful State Park lots of trees hiking and semi easy hike to nature center and Carlton lake. You do have to cross Hwy to get to lake. We stayed in the back circle part past ranger station with small store. Huge camp sites with cement pads. Semi private sites really enjoyed this park. Cons for us no cell reception ATT or WiFi. Would recommend this park. Hint: drive past ranger station and stay in old circle area where it is very quite and much more private. Great park! We camped at Robbers Cave State Park in a Motorhome.

Greenleaf State Park, Braggs, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park with lots of wild life and trees. Nice level pad with lots of trees. Easy walk to lake. Something for everyone with hiking, Tent camping, boating, and wild life watching. The camp hosts in the RV section were wonderful. Nice family park with children's playground. Cons no WiFi or ATT cell reception and bath house is funky like most state parks. They do have more primitive sites without sewer but there is a community dump station. Nice park friendly people. Would recommend. We camped at Greenleaf State Park in a Motorhome.

Adventure Bound Camping Resort , Tucson, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed one night nice staff easy after office check-in. Looks like they have recently combined this park with another and ongoing improvements are going on. Snowbirds had left so there were full-time folks there, very friendly and helpful. Easy drive to service's and looked to have many large pull-thru sites. Watch out if you're walking you're dogs; the grounds are clear, but just past the property line many Choa cactus. Yes my dog Jimmy got a face full of cactus needles the locals were very helpful and gave us a map to local vet. Happy ending, would stay again. We camped at Adventure Bound Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

Red Barn RV Park, Roswell, New Mexico

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Last minute reservation for a pull-thru site. Very charming small park and the owner was extremely accommodating. It looked to have two pull-thru sites only. Don't let the size of this park scare you....very friendly people and felt like home. There was some road noise but didn't really bother us. I would recommend this park for a comfortable stay. Loved the vibe of this small friendly park. The owner shows pride in what she has done and really wants her guest to enjoy the park. I would stay there again! We camped at Red Barn RV Park in a Motorhome.
