Donegal Campground, Donegal, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

The camp ground is beautiful with nice trees. There is a pool but we did not use it as we were here only overnight. All the spots are gravel and pull through but not very level. The utilities were good but water pressure varried a bit. The owner showed us to our spot and was very friendly. I thought the price was high for no amenities other than a pool. We camped at Donegal Campground in a Motorhome.

Camp Sandusky, Sandusky, Ohio

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Rate reflects a weekly rate with passport. The sites were well marked, grass and very level. There were lots of trees but we had no trouble backing our 30' motor home in the spot. The interior roads were gravel and paved. There are a lot of cabins and a section for tents. Staff was friendly and very helpful. They do a pancake breakfast every morning for $4.50. This is a very busy place. Many come here to go to Cedar Point. We camped at Camp Sandusky in a Motorhome.

Oakdale Campground, Quincy, Ohio

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

We did not have the issues the Last person had. The entrance is a long drive through a corn field but the office is marked well. Mostly small old seasonal units. The lady in the office was nice and helpful. We did not get any tv and it is a dead spot for AT&T. The few temporary spaces are along the river and very level. There is no sewer and the bath house is quite a hike. The ladies side of the bathhouse was clean but needed updating. Hubby said the mens side needs more than renovation. It is a quiet campground but not worth more than the passport rate of $15 per night. We camped at Oakdale Campground in a Motorhome.

Lake Hill Campground, Frankfort, Ohio

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

The roads and spots are gravel. Most are fairly level but a few are not. The first spot we were given was too small to get level so we asked for another one. The owners are really sweet and gave us the option of 3 other spots. We selected a bigger site and leveled easily. All the utilities worked great. It is a very quiet camp with a playground and lake for swimming. There are several cabins to rent. It is on a hill and lots of woods all around. The price represents a weekly rate. We camped at Lake Hill Campground in a Motorhome.

New Vision RV Park, LLC, Oaktown, Indiana

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

The price reflects the weekly rate. This is a very basic campground. Gravel roads and spots, small playground for kids and fishing pond full of pond scum. There is a laundry room with 3 washers and 3 dryers, only one dryer worked. There is one bathroom and one shower under the laundry room. As mentioned the highway and train were very close and noisy. Other than that the campground was very quiet. The town had a break in the water main and water was out for a few hours. 2 days later a storm came through and electric was out for a few hours. Neither were their fault but we were disappointed in the lack of communication as to when the utilities would be restored or who to call. We camped at New Vision RV Park, LLC in a Motorhome.

Woodland Village Mobile Home and RV Park, Portage, Indiana

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

A lot of new things are happening here. Many of the older trailers are being removed or moved to the back. Their plan is to make the front an RV park and the mobile home park in the back. Word is getting around so reserve your space now. The sites are level, power and water pressure are good. Issues with parking are being resolved. There is a newly remodeled laundry within walking distance along with a small general store. This was our 3rd year here. We camped at Woodland Village Mobile Home and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park - Knightstown, Knightstown, Indiana

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This is a wonderful family park. We have never stayed in a Yogi Bear Park before due to the huge number of kids that usually come. My hat is off to the staff for all the games and activities they plan. We rarely saw any kids, even on the rainy days. The pull through sites are grass or gravel and very level. They are set up as buddy sights. The staff went out of their way to help with anything you need. The owners were lovely people to meet. Yes I tasted iron in the water but we had a filter on so nothing got stained. There was some road noise but not enough to bother us. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park - Knightstown in a Motorhome.

Renfro Valley RV Park, Mount Vernon, Kentucky

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

This is a basic bare bones campground. It is ok for a one night stay. As others stated the check in is across the street. The spots are level. It had rained a lot and all spots seemed to be ankle deep in water. We were able to hook up to water and electric but the sewer hook up was under water. Not a problem, we only stayed for the night. We camped at Renfro Valley RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

The campground is next to a small river. The pads are all level concrete. There are a lot of seasonal but they are well kept. The park is quiet. Water and electric are good. There are activities at the clubhouse. We camped at Down By The River Campground in a Motorhome.

Yates Family Camping, Harrisburg, North Carolina

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This is a family run campground with no amenities. The owners are friendly and helpful. It is out in the open. Our site was level and gravel. However the units are crammed in like sardines. The utilities are good. It is not a destination campground but great for a day or two stay. We camped at Yates Family Camping in a Motorhome.

Lake Hartwell Camping & Cabins, Townville, South Carolina

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Due to an incorrect address, we ended up at this park. It has a similar name to another park. Staff was super nice in helping us get the address we needed and we went on our way. To turn around, we had to drive through the park. The spots seemed level, but a bit close together. The interior roads are paved and easy to maneuver. It is easy on and off I-85. We will have to come back and stay. We camped at Lake Hartwell Camping & Cabins in a Motorhome.

Lake Hartwell State Park, Townville, South Carolina

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

First thing... this is the wrong address for the state park. The correct address is 19138 south highway 11, Fair Play, SC. It is off exit 1 on I-85. (The address given is for another, Lake Hartwell Camping and Cabins.) This park has nice paved roads, level paved sites around a beautiful lake. The bath house was clean, although dated. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring. Our space was somewhat narrow and we could not put our awning all the way out. We were there during the week when most campers are working so it was extremely quiet. Town is a 15 to 20 minute drive either way. We camped at Lake Hartwell State Park in a Motorhome.

Bartow Gatewood Park (Bartow Beach Campground), Cartersville, Georgia

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

This is an older county park. Clean and neat. The roads were paved but narrow, twisty and hilly. The spots were cement and very level. Large rigs may have a difficult time maneuvering. There were picnic tables and fire rings and garbage barrel with a recycle bin at each spot. The view of the lake is beautiful. Bath house is dated but clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We camped at Bartow Gatewood Park (Bartow Beach Campground) in a Motorhome.

Separate section for permanent RVs. They all seemed to be well kept. Our spot was level and a paved spot. No picnic table. There is a pool and bath house. There is a club house too. Many of the spots are not level. This is a nice place to stay for a night or 2. We camped at Forest Glen Estates in a Motorhome.
