Pleasant Hill Campground, Hermon, Maine

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in our new to us trailer while our adult kids and friends stayed in the rental trailer - top notch campground! We have camped here a few time over the years and always enjoy this campground the most out of the other in the Bangor area. Owners are great and take good care of the campground. We camped at Pleasant Hill Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Bangor is a city that has struggled over the past few years with stores closing, drug deals taking place in open site (at Walmart in Brewer). This city is in desperate need of a second chance, a new look and a new hope. We use Bangor now as a stop over as we travel on to other locations in the US from Canada.

Pleasant Hill Campground, Hermon, Maine

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Another fine year at Pleasant Hill. We stayed in a different section of the campground - it was very quiet. The only two concerns I have is that the men's washroom had NO toilet paper from Saturday afternoon until Sunday afternoon. The washrooms also could use a little updating, and paint. We will stay again - as not many choices in Bangor. We camped at Pleasant Hill Campground in a Tent Trailer.

Another great year at Meredith Woods. LOVE the quietness of the campground, love the indoor pool. LOVE the fact that they have Sunday morning worship services - it is great to worship with people who love to spend timing praising the Lord. We look forward to staying here again next year. Vacationland RV Park & Family Campground, Brackley Beach, Prince Edward Island

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

I agree with the previous poster: This is NOT a good campground. Roads are too narrow, Internet access is almost nil. The campsites are unmarked and too small. The showers have NO shower curtain, showers are 25 cents for 6 minutes, of which 2 minutes is ice cold water and the other 4 minutes you get a trickle of water from the shower head - and you can't adjust the hot and cold water at all. No light outside the washrooms, so you can't even see in the dark where you are going. Now the posted speed limit is 10 km per hour and most people abide by the speed limit. Would we stay here again? No. The owners stop trying to get all the money they can and put some money back into the campground and improve what could be a decent place. We camped at Vacationland RV Park & Family Campground in a Tent Trailer.

A great campground. This campground is quiet, peaceful. It has a nice pool and mini golf. The washrooms are a bit dated but clean. The staff is nice. I am glad that we have found a new campground to spend a part of our summers at. We camped at Pleasant Hill Campground in a Tent Trailer.

Great campground, lots of room between sites, and clean washrooms. The kids enjoyed the pool. I just wish that the pool seating area was cooler. The pool is inside. Staff was great. We will return again next year for Soul Fest in Gilford, NH We camped at Meredith Woods in a Tent Trailer.

Paul Bunyan Campground, Bangor, Maine

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Well, where do I start. We have stayed at the campground over the past few years, giving positive reviews. I don't know what happened this year (maybe a new owner?) but it has gone DOWN HILL. Partying until 3-4am, people DRUNK in the campground walking around and disturbing others, the owner complaining about people yet choosing to do nothing about it. The owners were extremely unprofessional and rude. We will never stay here again, nor will we recommend this pitiful campground to anyone again. We are so disappointed in the ignorance of the owners (maybe new ones). We have also noticed that many of the people who use to frequent this campground have left and gone with the other campground up the road in Bangor. We camped at Paul Bunyan Campground in a Tent Trailer.

Mountain Lake Campground, Lancaster, New Hampshire

Date of Stay: August, 2010 - $40.00

NOT impressed; small sites, poor layout, hard to manuver the campgroud area, VERY hard to back in even a small trailer. Pull through sites are pitiful and VERY unlevel. Lake - wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole. Owners are rude, bossy, and forget trusting their website blog for a real review as they get rid of any review they do not like and only post their reviews that paint this campground as a great plce. We will never camp here again. We camped at Mountain Lake Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Brattleboro North KOA, Brattleboro, Vermont

Date of Stay: August, 2010 - $52.00

The second time that we have stayed here. This was a fine place to stay. But it did concern us that people would walk around with open cans of beer even around a pool full of kids. We did have a person approach us asking if we would move his 40 ft trailer to another campground - we went to help but the piles of empty beer cans around concerned us and we did not want to get involved with the situation - that this man and his 2 girls were being asked to leave the campground. We may camp here again - but we will first check out the campground before we stay here again. We camped at Brattleboro North KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Mountain Lake Campground, Lancaster, New Hampshire

Date of Stay: August, 2010 - $45.00

This is a small campground, with very small sites for trailers. We had a very difficult time backing in our trailer, and we quite disappointed with the site we were offered, especially since we booked in advance. The women's washroom left much to be desired. The lake was not as clean as one would hope. The salt water pool was fine, and the game room was fine. Very little to do in the town - the nearest WalMart is about 15 miles away. Small grocery store is in town. We will never stay here again. We camped at Mountain Lake Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Another great year at Paul Bunyan CG. The Wi-Fi worked great, and available throughout the campground. The staff are wonderful. The campground is kept very clean. My kids love the pool and all the friendly Canadians that also equally love this campground. I HIGHLY recommend this campground - and believe me I rarely give such a glowing recommendation. We always will be returning next year. We camped at Paul Bunyan Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Circle 9 Ranch Family Campground, Epsom, New Hampshire

Date of Stay: August, 2010 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Well, after booking this campground months in advance we were given a sight far too small and very difficult to access. In fact we could not access it. We then asked if another site was available; there was, in the open drive through section with NO privacy. Water was low, so no one could use the laundry room. The permanent trailers in the campground look disgraceful. Some of the year around residents looked scary. Our cable hookup had been pulled from its socket connection. The cold showers were a sure way to wake you up in the morning. I think we will pass on this wonderful campground in the future as we prefer KOA's or Yogi Bear Campgrounds, and so should you! We camped at Circle 9 Ranch Family Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Paul Bunyan Campground, Bangor, Maine

Date of Stay: August, 2009 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

We were very happy with this campground. The pool was great, the owners were great, the other campers were nice. The campground was quiet - yet it was a family campground that we and our three children LOVED. The only drawback is the air planes that fly over, the last one flew over around 9:30pm or so and then you do not hear any til the morning - around 6:30am. The lots were spacious, and fire rings at each site. The hayride is a nice event for the younger kids. We will definitely stay here again and again. We camped at Paul Bunyan Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Pine Acres RV Resort, Raymond, New Hampshire

Date of Stay: August, 2009 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This was our first time at Pine Acers. As others have said this is a PARTY campground - especially on Saturday, come Sunday and til Thursday the campground was ok. The washrooms were never clean - the speedbumps were a pain and the police coming into the campground on Saturday and setting up a spot check in front of the campground to check for drinking and driving - was another reason why we will not stay here again. There is no pool for the kids, and a dirty beach full of beer cans, and drinking anywhere and everywhere on Saturday did not add to the "family atmosphere" this campground claims to have. Water and sewer hook ups were 50 - 60 feet apart. They only have wifi is in the adult recreation room. The slide - well - if you do not mind the workers giving the finger to each other and to other people - then this is the place for you. We will never stay here again nor will we recommend it to anyone. We camped at Pine Acres RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
