Sun Roamers RV Resort, Picayune, Mississippi

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Park was 50% permanent; mainly in the back of the park. Great club house and pool. Pool is not heated, so not user friendly this time of year. Pad was gravel framed with railroad ties that made it difficult to setup outside table and chairs. 50A power was well regulated. Verizon wireless was 4G 4-bars. Heard none of the highway even though close and easy access to interstate 59. Had to park TV in grass next to pad. No room on pad for both. Sites were open all around us in middle. Few direct neighbors, but many in front and back of park. Many local RV dealers with repair/parts. We camped at Sun Roamers RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Meaher State Park, Spanish Fort, Alabama

Date of Stay: January, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Rainy weekend but site drained well with no standing water. Wifi was weak, but Verizon 4G was four bars so hotspot worked well. Staff was friendly and inviting. Bathroom was clean when we arrived. No fire rings, but a grill was mounted in each site. Picnic tables well built and functional. Sits right on the bay with no highway noise from I-10. HD TV received many channels by air; no cable TV available. We camped at Meaher State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Belton RV Park, Belton, Texas

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Sites, fairly level, right on top of each other. A few with shade from trees. Pedestals were dated and very low to the ground. Pool was good and kept clean daily. Staff was friendly and helpful. Access a little difficult with current construction on I-35. Highway noise was a little evident, but not overwhelming. Many long-term in the park...probably working construction on the highway. RV dealer/mechanic/store in front of park was great for parts and work needed. We camped at Belton RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Easy on and off I-10 just west of Beaumont. The well maintained and clean pool was refreshing. Concrete pad was level with great utility hook-ups. No shade or trees. Free breakfast was a plus. Would definitely stay again as we travel I-10. We camped at Gulf Coast RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Aviation Arbor RV Park (Military FamCamp), NAS JRB New Orleans, Louisiana

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Great sites with grass and concrete pads. Pedestals are modern and well kept. No cable, but HD TV reception is good. Verizon 4G wireless at 2-3 bars. Free Wifi is good and bandwidth capable of regular internet use. Near flight line, so air traffic noise evident. Great staff very friendly and helpful. Laundry $1 for washer and 75 cents for dryer. Great pavilion with picnic, pool and ping pong tables. Cross canal using Woodland bridge off DeGaulle so you bypass tunnel. Clearance is questionable. Will definitely return. We camped at Aviation Arbor RV Park (Military FamCamp) in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice concrete pad and well kept utilities. Cable was lousy, but HD antenna had good reception. Little reception with Verizon wireless. Well kept park. Highway noise was evident. Would stay for a one-nighter again, but not much longer. Great access to I-20. Easy on and off. We camped at Sunset Travel Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Singing Hills RV Park & Campground, Cave City, Kentucky

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Our second stay. Filled 30 lbs propane for $24. Most sites looked transient with a few longterm. Pull-throughs were tight but manageable. Well kept and friendly as usual. Will definitely stay again. We camped at Singing Hills RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tom Sawyer's Mississippi River Park, West Memphis, Arkansas

Date of Stay: October, 2014 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Great park with river front sites. Front row seats to watch the barge traffic. Utilities were good condition. Concrete pad fully level on the river front. Tree covered site in back. Wi-Fi was OK, not great. Verizon 4G reception. Two internal lakes/ponds add to the water front access. Management very helpful and friendly. Trash pickup at your site 3x daily. Good HD TV reception; no cable. Drive in crosses RR tracks in an industrial area. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Tom Sawyer's Mississippi River Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Shady Pines RV Park, Texarkana, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Great find! Concrete drive and pads. Small trees and high-end picnic tables on each site. Highly manicured lawn. Utilities in perfect condition. Well off I-30 by a few miles so no highway noise, but not too far. Wonderful community building for RV club gatherings. Management was friendly and welcoming. Wifi was great and 4G Verizon coverage. A definite return for sure for a longer stay in east TX. We camped at Shady Pines RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Belton RV Park, Belton, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed 7 days. Paid for six and got the seventh free. Management was friendly and helpful. Site was tight for a 43' rig, but made it work. Parked truck across the drive. Right off of I-35 so regular highway noise. Wifi was ok for casual email etc. Utilities worked well. Laundry room was very clean and maintained. Would stay here again if passing through. If staying longer would like a park further off the highway. We camped at Belton RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Just off I-44. Easy access. Pool was closed and not accessible; maybe for the season. Highway traffic noise was apparent due to location. Large tree covered sites that were level and easy to maneuver. The host was friendlyand helpful. Would definitely stay again while passing through. We camped at Joplin KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Cozy C RV Campground, LLC, Bowling Green, Missouri

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Easy access just off Hwy 54 just east of Hwy 61. Nice grounds that were very level. No picnic tables or fire rings onsite. Have to use the tables and fire ring in the central pavilion. No Verizon wireless reception. Sprint wireless is functional. WiFi limited with no broadband access. Park lost power in the a.m. and we pulled out before it was restored. We stay here again for a night while traveling through but would keep it a short stay. We camped at Cozy C RV Campground, LLC in a Fifth Wheel.
