7th Ranch RV Camp, Garryowen, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park. Their website does not do it justice. All nicely grated gravel with patches of grass at sites, gravel patio, some flowers, nice pavilion and cabins-all well cared for. The sites are actually tiered and slanted so to afford a great view and some privacy. The super sites (3) are the highest sites with the best view. Close to Little Big Horn and the cafe/restaurant. We camped at 7th Ranch RV Camp in a Motorhome.

River Edge Resort, Alberton, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Don't pass this park by! We enjoyed this park so much. Beautiful setting, small (12 sites), very nice owner and staff, great bar, restaurant and a few gaming machines. Steaks are some of the best we've had. Trains across river, but they don't blow the horns, some interstate noise but we don't notice much. Sites are dirt and gravel with nice grassy yards. We are a 40' MH towing and had no trouble getting in. Sites are turned every which way (instead of like lined up dominos) which seem to add more privacy. We were able to get satellite TV (Dish). This park has so much personality-it hugs your soul. So glad we found it! We camped at River Edge Resort in a Motorhome.

American RV Resort, Albuquerque, New Mexico

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

Gated, paved roads concrete pads, gravel and dirt patio. Office Staff very nice and efficient. Free Continental Breakfast. Our pull through was only long enough for MH. Tow parked sideways behind MH. There are some pull throughs long enough to not disconnect which are nicer sites. Out site was nice however, on the end with a big grass area which our dog liked. We stayed two nites before going to Balloon Fest. Most of the RV's in the park were going to Balloon Fest too. I'd definitely stay again. We camped at American RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Ruins Road RV Park & Campground, Aztec, New Mexico

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This park has NO amenities, no bathrooms, cable, laundry etc. But that's just fine with us......tired of paying for amenties that we don't use! Park has spacious gravel pull thru sites (has shared facilities but they don't assign every other site so lots of room.). We stayed 8 nights, relaxed and enjoyed it. Aztec Ruins site 1/2 mile down road. Safeway (older, small) grocery in town but Farmington, 6 miles, has it all. Sam's and Walmart. Aztec has a nice new laundromat-nicest I've seen. We would definitely stay again. We camped at Ruins Road RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Aztec Ruins site 1/2 mile down road very interesting-easy to do, we spent about 20 minutes there. Safeway (older, small) grocery in town but Farmington, 6 miles, has it all even a Sam's and Walmart. Aztec has a nice new laundromat-nicest I've seen. We would definitely stay again.

Sundance RV Park, Cortez, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Loved this park. Extra clean, quiet. They even rake the gravel when an RV leaves and delivers packages/mail to your RV. Close to Mesa Verde Nat'l Park. (rate based on weekly). Paved roads, gravel sites. Will definitely return! We were in a wide back in, tow car parking beside RV leaving lots of patio room. We camped at Sundance RV Park in a Motorhome.

Ballard RV Park, Thompson, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Nice little park, not many sites and most seem to be filled with residents or work campers all with neat sites. Extremely long pull thrus with shared facilities. Even tho facilities are shared, you have to pull up the "front" of your site to reach facilities and the one next to you is pulled to the front of theirs so you hardly see your neighbor, if this makes sense. All good gravel. We saw lots of rv's turned away so make a reservation. I'd definitely go back and stay longer. We camped at Ballard RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Remnants of old Ghost town 1/2 block. 3 or so miles on up road is Sego Canyon with several rocks featuring Indian rock art. Also an old dirt dwelling. Worth the short drive! Can be a bit muddy/rough on areas where a stream ran thru the road.

Border Inn RV Park, Baker, Nevada

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Large (good) gravel lot with some landscaping separating large pull thru transient sites. Paid inside and was told to pick my own site, great! Level. Had a burger and beer in the restaurant, was good. Lots of slot machines in bar. Satellite friendly. I'd stay here again. We camped at Border Inn RV Park in a Motorhome.

Angel Lake RV Park, Wells, Nevada

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Older gentleman does indeed come out and shake your hand to welcome you to the park. Just don't think he's able to keep the park up like it maybe once was. Skinny pull-thru of rock and dirt. Lots of unkept permanent looking trailers and lots of workers that leave early and come home late. This park has seen better days. It is very close to the interstate. Probably wouldn't come back. We camped at Angel Lake RV Park in a Motorhome.

Hagerman RV Village, Hagerman, Idaho

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Looked like all pull thru's of various sizes. Dirt pad with nice grass between sites. Problem is they water the grass every night and the dirt pad turns into mud on your shoes and you can't have any mats on the grass. UGH. I might stay here again but would check other parks. Don't think any sites are satellite friendly and there's no cable. We camped at Hagerman RV Village in a Motorhome.

Catfish Junction RV Park & Campgrounds, Huntington, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

What a hidden jewel. Right on the river. Nice laid back park with super nice owners. This is not a "resort" but a quiet "getaway". We immediately signed up for another night when we got here. The sites closest to the water are "close" but staggered in such a way you don't notice. Seems like the friendliest of RVers seem to stop here. We've enjoyed talking to our neighbors that pull in each day for an overnight. Only negative are tiny flying bugs that are constant but don't bite. We camped at Catfish Junction RV Park & Campgrounds in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Bern's Tavern (oldest tavern in Washington? I think) great for burgers and talking to locals. Bonnie's Vine and Gifts great assortment of wines and gifts at reasonable prices (bought a port there that was $20 cheaper than Bacchus). We especially enjoyed Alexandria Nicole wines. Their tasting room looks like a little shop in a shopping strip but wait til you walk inside! Their wines were superior.

Lake Pleasant RV Park, Bothell, Washington

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

Quiet, dark at night, nice layout, easy in and easy out, Safeway across street. Trash cans every few yards which were kept emptied. Sites narrow and could use some mowing. We overlooked the second pond (I wouldn't call them lakes) which looked like a sewer. Ducks and Geese galore and therefore so were their droppings. Having said that, I would stay again, just not for a week - no weekly rate, either. We camped at Lake Pleasant RV Park in a Motorhome.

Gig Harbor RV Resort, Gig Harbor, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

We were in site 12 which is a bit tricky to get into with a 40' motorhome. Site was quite wide with gravel and dirt. Gravel is actually small rocks (ankle breakers and hard on dog's feet). Lots of pine needles. Can't imagine you'd get satellite service in any of the sites. Their cable tv was fuzzy and they changed MSNBC to some hollywood channel while there. We did enjoy our week stay there (no weekly rate) and would go back. We camped at Gig Harbor RV Resort in a Motorhome.

The Harbor is nice with lots of restaurants and the typical touristy shops. Albertson's, Costco, Home Depot, Fred Meyer nearby. Wished I'd known Washington had a 20% hard liquor tax, would have purchased before entering the state.
