Four Seasons RV Resort, Salida, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

While the staff was friendly and helpful, the sites are very close and it feels crowded. Also, it was hot, and their electrical system is older, so they had trouble accommodating the needs. (We were asked to keep our water heaters on propane, and still in 3 days, their breakers needed to be re-set twice. We camped at Four Seasons RV Resort in a Motorhome.

The downtown area is fun to look around and the Chaffee County fair and rodeo were enjoyable.

Black Hills Whispering Pines, Silver City, South Dakota

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

This campground was a real "find". The current owners took over 2 years ago, and they are delightful people, who really care about the comfort and convenience of their campers. The sites are grassy, and the hookups all worked well. The Wi-Fi is great. We are here early in the season, so the store isn't fully stocked yet, but they had the basics we need. This campground is not in a busy area - they are right off Hwy 385, and are within easy driving distance to any of the sites you wish to visit. Yet, it is a peaceful place to return to (or spend the day). There are fire rings, lots of picnic tables and ample space to enjoy your camping experience. They are pet friendly, too. If we come back to this area on a camping trip, we will certainly return to Whispering Pines. We camped at Black Hills Whispering Pines in a Motorhome.
