Longhorn Ranch Motel & RV, Terlingua, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

A primitive site RV park that's part of a motel. Not used too often due to location. 12 miles north of Study Butte, Tx. We had the park to ourselves. Roads are a bit rough, but taking it slow worked. Water is not good for drinking, but good for showers, laundry and other uses. Restaurant at motel has great food. Pool looked clean. The reason we have used this park are the views! We are not in a parking lot. Site number one or three has the best views of the West Texas Mountains. These were 50amp, water, no sewer, but there was a dump station. Great free Wifi. No TV reception at all, no cell phone service at all. We used the wifi for our communications and it worked well. We stayed in our 40' RV and loved it. We camped at Longhorn Ranch Motel & RV in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

It can be windy in West Texas, so do not leave your awnings out. Bring plenty of drinking water. The water is potable but tastes salty.

Wells Beach Resort Campground, Wells Beach, Maine

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park! Clean sites. Older staff helpful, younger staff friendly. Water pressure good, but had sediments (make sure to have a screen on the connector). Electricity good and cable good. WiFi had strong signal but only work one day of our four day stay. The office staff blamed TengoNet for the lack of service. I would expect the park to make sure the service works, it's part of the package offered and charged for. ATT 4G was also weak at this location. We camped at Wells Beach Resort Campground in a Motorhome.
