Pegasus Farm Campground, Elkins, West Virginia

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Campground is a field ringed with trees. Pros: Owners are very welcoming. Sites are level and spacious. Water pressure is good. Restrooms are very clean. The campground has a feeling of being far away from town. Cons: WiFi is slow. Creek is not visible or accessible except at one site, and is very small. We visited mid-June and the field across the tracks wasn't mowed yet - we didn't see the fishing pond. We camped at Pegasus Farm Campground in a Motorhome.

Wright's Orchard Station Campground, Duncansville, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Quiet little campground right in town. Most sites are back-in, but there is a short row of pull-throughs in the center (these have 30 amp service). Sites are level, some are best for smaller vehicles. Lots of trees provide nice shade. A small camp store and a laundry room are on site. No other amenities. Restrooms very clean. Wi-Fi is good. Strong cellular coverage (AT&T, Verizon). Owners are very friendly and helpful. We would stay here again. We camped at Wright's Orchard Station Campground in a Motorhome.

Trough Creek State Park, James Creek, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful park surrounding Trough Creek Gorge. Campground is rustic - pit toilets, no showers. Fresh water is available and there is a dump station about 2 miles from the campground. Campground is wooded and sites are spacious. Nice hiking in the gorge. We camped at Trough Creek State Park in a Motorhome.
