Kenlake State Resort Park, Hardin, Kentucky

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

The view is wonderful and many sites are covered by tall, mature trees. Be warned, many sites closer to the lake view are at very steep angles. We camped at Kenlake State Resort Park in a Motorhome.

Indian Springs Campground, North Bend, Ohio

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Decent quick overnight stop location. Shower and bathroom OK, clean. Location is right on the highway so it does get traffic noise. There is a lake but we did not take advantage of it. We camped at Indian Springs Campground in a Motorhome.

Holiday Travel Park of Chattanooga, Rossville, Georgia

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

We were just looking for an overnight stop and were lucky to find this location. The staff is VERY nice, taking the initiative to call us back about late check-in. Even in the middle of the night, the site was easy to pull through and set up. Location was very level and spaced nicely. I will say, for us, the location was a good stop and home base for activities around the city, but seemed to lack a lot of activities. Now we did not investigate this much so we could be mistaken. One OUTSTANDING amenity is the bathroom and shower stall. Clean x10. Maybe we were just seeing them the week they were repainted and cleaned but they were the best we used after being at 6 other RV parks this week. We will be back for a longer stay and look forward to it! We camped at Holiday Travel Park of Chattanooga in a Motorhome.

Rickwood Caverns State Park, Warrior, Alabama

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

We made reservations on the road and were accommodated nicely for late arrival. They provided us the lock code for the gate and left reservation info at the office. RV sites are small, not very level, and difficult to pull into. The facilities, while old, were clean and fine for an overnight stay. What makes this location unique and worth the hassle getting to is the cave formation tour. Yes, it's expensive at $15 a head but worth the short walk from the RV sites. Staff seemed a but disinterested and not very encouraging or proud of the coolness of this location. We have stayed here twice by sheer accident, traveling from Chicago to Florida and only discovered the caves the second time. We camped at Rickwood Caverns State Park in a Motorhome.
