About Cruiser03

I travel for business and traveled many years via plane & hotels, rental cars. When my husband retired, I finally talked him into a Motorhome and I love it. Finally, my own bed, my car and we get to cook!

Normandy Farms, Foxboro, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $78.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is run very efficient. Everyone is very friendly and very helpful. I love the fact that they escort you into your site. Water pressure is great. We have been in 12 states on this trip so far, and many campgrounds, and this is the very best and fastest WiFi ever. We will definitely come back to this campground. The only negative was the cable tv. We could not get satellite in our site and the cable was very bad. A lot of channels, just extremely fuzzy. We camped at Normandy Farms in a Motorhome.

Aces High RV Park, East Lyme, Connecticut

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $66.00
Overall Rating:

This is a lovely park and we were very happy to get a site here on a holiday weekend just passing through. The only reason I can't give a 9 or 10 is because they advertise free Wi-FI throughout the park. It was non-existent for us. The roads are very well packed and pretty smooth. The site accommodated our big rig well. We would come back here if traveling through this area. We camped at Aces High RV Park in a Motorhome.

Lake George RV Park, Lake George, New York

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $78.00
Overall Rating:

I was so disappointed in this Rv Park. First of all with all the awards I was expecting so much more. I guess my idea of a Resort is so much more than some people. If you are looking for a very tight, cramped space with a lot of kids and activities, then this may be the place for you. It was full of tents, and tarps and not very appealing at all. Yes, the roads are paved, but the sites are grimy, dirty and not at all appealing. I was so thankful that we only booked for one night and absolutely could not wait to leave. I travel in my RV for work, and this just happened to be a great location for a stopover. However, If I had booked more nights I would not have stayed here. We could not even get our awning out for the trees and pulling out of the site, we scraped our RV on both sides with brush. This is not acceptable to me for any RV park! The road to exit the park is very tricky with a big rig. If you are looking for a party place to gather with a bunch of kids and friends and you don't care what everything around you looks like, this may be for you. We had been told that we could get satellite, but that was totally out of the question, It is a great location if you want to just shop or be in this area, but it is so overpriced for the appeal of the park. I would never stay here again. We camped at Lake George RV Park in a Motorhome.

Basswood Resort, Platte City, Missouri

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

I cannot believe this park is rated so highly

It is very difficult in a big rig and is full of permanent RV with very cramped sites

This is a very run down park I would drive another 200 miles NOT to stop here

Forget WiFi. It is totally non-existent we have been in 17 states on this trip and this is by far the worst ever. The grass needed cutting, it was just muddy, and the roads getting into the sites were not great. It may be ok for a travel trailer or small campers, but not for big rigs. We camped at Basswood Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Do not use your GPS to find this campground, or at least my GPS did not get me there.

Also, I would not advise big rigs to stay here. We did not use any of the amenities, so I cannot advise about them. Water pressure was ok, but WI-FI is non-existent. I work and travel for work and need Wi-Fi. Sites are very close together.

Loved this park, wish we could have stayed longer. Very clean, good water pressure, easy to get into. It was very nice. It is probably the best park we have ever stayed in and would definitely stay here again. We camped at Lakeside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Renfro Valley KOA, Mount Vernon, Kentucky

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice staff, Water Pressure terrible!! Cable was just fuzzy was awful. WIFI was extremely slow kept shutting down on me very hard to work. Nice level premium site. Not worth the money. If these issues were corrected it would have been a great stay. We could not even get water to do dishes it was only a trickle and extremely difficult to take a shower I called the office and a nice guy came to site and said he did something to make it better. He finally got a little more pressure but not great. We camped at Renfro Valley KOA in a Motorhome.
