Bordertown Casino RV Resort, Reno, Nevada

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We read the reviews before we stayed there. Some mentioned lots of watering of the grass areas. Pictures looked good. We were looking for a relaxing park to stay for a week. Check in was simple and they even allowed us to pick our site. All the pads are the width of the motorhome with grass on both sides. Slides hang over the grass area and the door opens onto the grass. Length of site was adequate, but width is an issue. This park was probably built before slides became a reality. Got up the first morning with both sides of the rv dripping and stepped out onto slushy grass. I spoke to the office and asked if they could possibly turn the flow down a bit so the rv wouldn't be getting sprayed. I understand grass needs to be watered but this was beyond excessive. The next morning, same issue. I went over to speak to the office receptionist and the maintenance man was there. I asked about turning the sprinklers down and his answer was"no", If I didn't like it I could go park in the casino/gas station parking lot. So, a relatively simple request became an issue. Obviously, the maintenance man needs some customer service training. We checked out the next morning. They did refund the balance of our site rent. Nice park, just understand that your rig will be watered nightly. No way to avoid stepping on the soaked grass when you exit your rig. We camped at Bordertown Casino RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Silver City RV Resort, Minden, Nevada

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Sites are cement for the wheels of your RV, which are pretty level. Surrounded by gravel which works although not very appealing. Lots of full timers, with weeds growing up through the tongues of their trailers and all through the sight. Obviously site maintenance is minimal. Pool area is under a cover with lots of birds / nests to help keep the pool water questionable. Dog pens are dirt and big enough for your dog to relieve itself but not large enough for play time. There is fuel on site as well as a small store. Check in was very efficient and you are led to your sight by an employee. With some additional park maintenance and some expansion of dog parks, this could be a nice destination park. We camped at Silver City RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Silver Lake Resort, June Lake, California

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Love this RV park. Spaces are a little tight but that's made up for by the great customer service. Great fishing lake, boat rentals, hiking trails. Wildlife viewing is awesome. Every time we go, there are more improvements to the park. This is their 100th year so it's quite rustic and even though it's been modernized, they try to keep the rustic appearance. Cabins are available as well as an outstanding restaurant. Try the biscuits and gravy, the best I've ever had. We camped at Silver Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

Zephyr Cove Resort RV Park & Campground, Zephyr Cove, Nevada

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $67.00
Overall Rating:

Check in was horrendous. Monday afternoon and RVS were backed up to the highway. When I got inside the office there were 7 people in front of me. There was only one clerk and he was doing a fine job with 4 days of experience. The first site that I was assigned had a vehicle parked in it. I went back to the office and luckily got another site. The park was recently taken over by Aramark and obviously needs some organization and training. Lots of highway noise as well. There are NO flat, straight areas to disconnect the toad. Signage to the RV resort said "turn left", when in fact the RV resort was on the right. I was told by a camp host that they've been trying to get the sign changed for years. We camped at Zephyr Cove Resort RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.
