Camp Turkeyville RV Resort, Marshall, Michigan

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Great park with lots of space surrounding to walk our dogs. Sites level and we used full hookup. Only there for one night so didn't use pool etc but looked very nice. Very little shade. Close to restaurant and casino. We camped at Camp Turkeyville RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

As you come off the highway and toward the park, GPS has you turn on a road that is too soon. Go through the blinking lights and the campground entrance is on the left immediately after the road that GPS indicates you turn on. Easy to get back but a bit frustrating after a long drive.

Branches of Niagara Campground and Resort, Grand Island, New York

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $77.00
Overall Rating:

This park is just wonderful. Beautiful lay out and lots of areas for walking. We don't have kids but the park offered nightly activities for kids, games, bike rentals, swimming, etc. Unfortunately, pool was always crowded and noisy so we did not use. Perhaps they could consider an adults only night? Our site was great...back in the newer area of the park with full hookup. Quiet with nice trees for shade but could still use our satellite. No dog run but understand they are adding one in the future. We used 30 amp and did not have a patio, but our friends with 50 amp did. Very nice. Close to Niagara falls, great casino, and grocery store, but the campground is surrounded by trees so you feel like you're in the country. Bath and laundry rooms extremely clean. We loved our site...other sites nearer the pool looked fairly close together. We would definitely stay here again and in the more remote site. We camped at Branches of Niagara Campground and Resort in a Motorhome.

Eastpointe RV Resort, Grand Haven, Michigan

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $80.00
Overall Rating:

We checked in fairly late. Owners were there for us and helped us with an issue with our tow vehicle. Sites are fairly close together but clean, easy to park and level. We were only there for one night but the facilities looked nice including pool, tennis court, and pavilion. Unfortunately, next to a sewer treatment plant so the evening walk was quite smelly...not something I would sit out in. Morning was fine. We camped at Eastpointe RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Park office closed at 4p but owner/manager was there for our later arrival. Site was in a grassy field with full hookups. Leveling OK. Only there for one night but the facilities seemed nice with pool, etc. We camped at Olympia Village RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Sleepy Hollow RV Park & Campground, Oxford, Iowa

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

Water has been turned off at length twice since we arrived. Noise from Hwy 80 is very loud. Bathroom showers (women) are rusted and very dirty. The problems cannot be resolved because no one is in the office. And we're completely prepaid (months ago) so we can't even withhold payment. Very frustrating when you want a nice weekend. Can't even flush the toilet. Will not stay here again. We camped at Sleepy Hollow RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Hy-Land Court RV Park, Ellison Bay, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is a lovely park. We booked early for two sites together and they gave us a beautiful choice with a lawn and fire pit between us. Lots of trees for shade but enough sky space for our friends satellite. Laundry facilities are good and clean. Seasonal folks are very friendly. Would definitely stay again. We camped at Hy-Land Court RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Oasis Campground and Waterpark (formerly Hancock/ Stevens Pt South KOA, Hancock, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Park looks very new, is well maintained, and has good security. Staff made great efforts to accommodate us in a site that would work with our rig. site was level and spacious. Dog exercise area was clean and big enough for our corgis to run a bit. Also, a spring-fed pond was fun for both us and the dogs to cool off.

The bathroom situation was strange. Although very clean, only one bathroom/shower was available after hours because the other was inside the pool area and locked. There are 2 other bathroom/showers available that are ADA, but you have to pay for them: not sure if this is even legal.

Downsides were some highway noise, and very bright halogen lights on the buildings that didn't allow much darkness if you're a star gazer.

We would stay again but not for a vacation: more as a stopover. We camped at Oasis Campground and Waterpark (formerly Hancock/ Stevens Pt South KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Nearest grocery is in Plover or Wautoma. iMap indicates 2 others that are closer but one was a factory farm (Hancock) and the other was a permanently closed grocery store (Coloma.) Small taverns around the area were fun and had a good fish fry on Friday.

Hixton / Alma Center KOA, Hixton, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

This is a lovely spot. Very easy in and out of pull-through sites. Water was good, electric worked well and we had a full hookup site. Terraced to provide separation from neighbors. Nice landscaping and attention to homey details. Did not use the pool or kids stuff, but enjoyed the view from our site...could see fireworks from all different areas. Will definitely come again. The only reason I didn't give it a 10 was the proximity to the highway and motorcycle/truck noise. We camped at Hixton / Alma Center KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Gunflint Pines resort and Campground, Grand Marais, Minnesota

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

We are newbie RVers and wanted to experience the great outdoors. This spot was perfect. We had a wonderful site with water and electric and, since we were kinda new at all of this, our host helped us quite a bit. The lake was gorgeous and we heard loons and coyotes at night. Shower house and bathrooms were spotless with plenty of hot water to remove the (very necessary) mosquito repellent (it's Minnesota in the summer, so mosquitoes are the norm.) One hour drive into Grand Marais for a day of shopping and great food. Hiking trails were fun, as was the museum at the end of Gunflint Trail. We love this campground and will definitely be back.. We camped at Gunflint Pines resort and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Rustic Barn RV Park, Kieler, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Well kept small park. Easy to find. Pull-through sites were a bit tight but nice under trees for shade. Owners were great and had everything we needed (we're kind of new at this). Close to Dubuque if gambling is on the menu. We camped at Rustic Barn RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
