Bar S RV Park, Milan, New Mexico

Date of Stay: January, 2016 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Agree with the other reviews. A good spot to stop overnight - it was handy and cheap. Basically just a gravel parking lot and not someplace you would want to stay if actually going to be there during the day. If you are a light sleeper, the noise from the train would be a problem. We were so tired when we went to bed that it didn't keep us awake. We camped at Bar S RV Park in a Motorhome.

Camping la Cle des Champs, Saint-Philippe, Quebec

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Park was a good choice for exploring Montreal and the surrounding area. The sites were not huge, but plenty large enough with landscaping between sites, many with shade. It was also nice to have the paver patio and nice table/chairs, glider and fire pit. Wi-Fi worked well at the site and although there wasn't cable, we were able to receive several good stations with our antenna. Very quiet. The office staff was also very helpful and nice. There were many permanent sites, but they were very nicely maintained. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Camping la Cle des Champs in a Motorhome.

Canyon de Chelly National Monument, Cottonwood Campground, Chinle, Arizona

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

I was leery of staying in a campground with no electricity during the summer in Arizona but it was definitely not a problem. The huge shade trees kept it pleasant. Our 35' motorhome would not have fit in all sites, but we didn't have a problem finding a nice one for the night. It was definitely convenient for touring the park. We got the name of a tour company at the visitor center and had a 3 hour tour into the canyon and we were glad we did. We sure learned a lot about the Navajo lifestyle and saw the canyon up close. We camped at Canyon de Chelly National Monument, Cottonwood Campground in a Motorhome.

Circle B RV Park, Ruidoso, New Mexico

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park with large level pull-through sites. We were here during the week and they were good to separate the campers for more space. If you're traveling with kids, there was no pool, but looked like the clientele they attracted (older) wouldn't care. There are many campgrounds in the area, but this one looked like the nicest we saw. They also have a nice RV supply store on site. We would definitely pick this campground again if we were in the area. We camped at Circle B RV Park in a Motorhome.

Brantley Lake State Park, Carlsbad, New Mexico

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

We were lucky enough to reserve one of the few full hook-up sites, at a very reasonable rate. The sites were large, with a nice picnic table shaded under a shelter with a rock wall wind break. Other than the fact that it was just so darn hot while we were there, it was a great spot, with lots of bunnies hopping around. Although it was about 12 miles north of town, so a little inconvenient for the caverns and other things in town, we were told by a waitress that the other campgrounds in town were full of the oil workers. We were here during the week, but it definitely wasn't close to full. We camped at Brantley Lake State Park in a Motorhome.

Goulding's Lodge & Campground, Monument Valley, Utah

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

About the only convenient choice if you need to stay overnight to visit Monument Valley. The sites were close, but had more room than some places we've stayed. They were level and pull-through with enough room to park our tow vehicle. The view from the campground is about the most stunning of anyplace you could imagine. We had a late dinner at Goulding's Inn and it was pretty good. We would definitely pick here to stay again if in the area. We camped at Goulding's Lodge & Campground in a Motorhome.

Palo Duro RV Park, Canyon, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This campground pretty much like the other reviews have stated - basic parking spot with electricity that is convenient to Palo Duro Canyon. Sites not too crammed together. Reasonable rate. We got in late the evening we arrived and didn't end up hooking up due to the wind/rain storm that was going on. Park management was nice enough not to even charge us for that night. Would recommend it as a overnight stop. We camped at Palo Duro RV Park in a Motorhome.

Lake Dardnelle State Park, Russellville, Arkansas

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This was one of the nicest campgrounds we have stayed in during our 30+ years of camping. Many times I steer clear of state parks since many have been left to run down due to budget cuts. You can tell that they have spent money on this park to make the campground nice. The sites were level, large, and shady. We were right on the lake and had a separate "sitting" area. It was truly enjoyable (except for the mayflies which was something new for us). We don't normally go back to the same place twice, but it would be tempting here. During the week, the rate was only $25 for full hook-up. A very nice place to stay. We camped at Lake Dardnelle State Park in a Motorhome.
