Toad River Lodge & RV Park, Toad River, British Columbia

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

What a gem of a park and a pleasant surprise. Beautiful setting, pull through and back in sites. Roads and sites are packed rock and sites are level. Located in a mountain valley, this park by a small lake. 30 amp power, cable TV, free wifi works well. Had a delicious lunch in the lodge restaurant, and topped off my fuel tank for the next leg of our trip. If we had realized it was this pleasant we would have scheduled more nights here. We camped at Toad River Lodge & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Indian Head Campground (formerly Indian Head KOA), Indian Head, Saskatchewan

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is a well managed large park. Easy on and off the Trans-Canada Highway. The park is about a half mile off the main highway down a gravel road that can get a little like a washboard, but we just went slower and there was no problem. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The park is very attractive with lots of trees. There is a pool and laundry room. The restrooms are nice and clean. Showers are small but water pressure is good. There are a lot of long-term residents but they seem to be in a separate section than the through-travelers. Roads are gravel and very easily to navigate even with a big rig. Our site was a long pull through in a newer section with newly planted trees so we didn't have any problems with the satellite. Overall good park. We camped at Indian Head Campground (formerly Indian Head KOA) in a Fifth Wheel.

Bry-Mar RV Park & Campground, Brandon, Manitoba

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

We just overnighted here so we can't comment on any of the services other than the overall park and campsite. This was a good park for an overnight stay. Very easy on and off the Trans-Canada Highway. The roads are gravel and the park is easily navigated even with a big rig. Our site was a 30 amp back-in, plenty long and level so I didn't have to unhook for the night. The park is clean, well groomed, the host is very friendly and the playground for the kids looks nice. There are a lot of long-term residents but it is a nice quiet park. We will stay here again when we are passing through. We camped at Bry-Mar RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Arrowhead RV Park, Ile Des Chenes, Manitoba

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice park just South of Winnipeg. The roads and sites are packed rock and the sites where we stayed we're level. High speed wifi is available for $3 extra dollars per device. The owners here were very friendly and helpful. Winnipeg is about 9 miles away and it is an easy drive there and back. We will definitely stay here when back through the area. We camped at Arrowhead RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a great little park. We stopped overnight here and glad we did. Clean, well groomed and situated beneath large Cottonwood trees. Roads and sites are packed rock and sites are level. This is a first class immaculately groomed park. Grounds are nearly mowed an edged. All roads and sites are concrete. Restrooms and laundry are current and clean. Cable and wifi work well. Check-in is a breeze. We will stay here any time we are through Topeka. We camped at Deer Creek Valley RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Hidden Lake RV Park, Ardmore, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice park. We stayed overnight here on our way North and we're very pleased. The park is very clean and easy to navigate with a big rig. The roads and sites are rock but very firm and level. Well groomed with a nice clean lake in the middle for fishing and swimming. There is also a pool and play area for children. Wifi and cable worked well. We would gladly stay here again. We camped at Hidden Lake RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We overnighted here on our way home from a trip. This is a very good place. Very neat with rock roads and level rock sites. Easy to maneuver with our 40 ft 5th wheel. Convenient hook-ups. Utilities, cable and wifi worked well. Very friendly and helpful staff. We will definitely stay here when we're back in the area. We camped at Angels Camp RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Wichita Falls RV Park, Wichita Falls, Texas

Overall Rating:

We overnighted here on our way to Palo Duro Canyon. This is a nice clean park, very convenient to the central Wichita Falls area. There are pull throughs available but we had a back-in. Sites are level asphalt and all utilities work well. We will stay here again. We camped at Wichita Falls RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Silver Wind RV Park, Silverton, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

This park was a pleasant surprise. Caprock Canyon was full so we picked something close. This is a basic park in an open field. The whole area is prairie so that is to be expected. All sites are pull through and all sites are full hookup and you won't find nicer owners anywhere. Restrooms and showers were very clean and there is a laundry available. We will stay here again when we are in town. We camped at Silver Wind RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Elk City / Clinton KOA, Canute, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

This is is a good overnight park. My view is that few KOA's are worth the premium price you pay. They said, this was a a nice clean park and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The site was level and all utilities including cable. Wifi is good during the day but slows down in the evening when the park fills up. We camped at Elk City / Clinton KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Catfish Round-Up RV Park, Seminole, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great little park to stopover just off I-40. It's clean with level concrete pads, full hookups and friendly people. Wifi is very good. No cable but we got 16 channels on the antenna. An added benefit is the great onsite restaurant. We will definitely stay here next time we come through this area. We camped at Catfish Round-Up RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Albert Lea / Austin KOA, Ada, Minnesota

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice park that we will stay at anytime we are in the Albert Lea area. We've found KOA's to be a mixed bag but this is one of the good ones. Clean and well manicured with corn fields all around. Service was friendly. It was a quiet pleasant place to stay. We camped at Albert Lea / Austin KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Peculiar Park Place RV Park, Peculiar, Missouri

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice park just off I-49. The owner was very nice. He would have taken us to our site but we arrived during the lunch hour and he was the only one there. Finding the site on our own was really easy anyway. The park is very clean with smooth rock roads. Sites are rock and most are fairly level. We just overnighted here so I can't comment on the restrooms and showers. This is a cash or check only park. No cards. We will definitely stay here again when through this area. We camped at Peculiar Park Place RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Griff's Valley View RV Park & Campground, Altoona, Iowa

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

I don't understand any negative reviews about this park. This is one of the nicest parks we've ever stayed in. Extremely well manicured and there's plenty of grassy area between concrete pads. No tables or fire pits, so bring your on tables and gas grills. Check in was a breeze. With reservations (and you should have reservations) we just called the manager lady when we arrived and she gave me directions over the phone to the site. A first class experience. We camped at Griff's Valley View RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
