Bayley's Camping Resort, Scarborough, Maine

Date of Stay: October, 2006 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We camped here off season. We chose an apple picking weekend and a fall foliage weekend. These were special rates and a breakfast included. Early check in, late check out. That is great. You are not pressed for time to go there on a weekend. Everything was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. We do not bring children so this off season deal was great for us. We don't need the activities. it was not crowded and the weather was beautiful so all in all we had a great experience with this campground. We camped at Bayley's Camping Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Homestead by the River, Biddeford, Maine

Date of Stay: July, 2006 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very quaint, quiet campground. The staff was very helpful and friendly. What we liked most was that our dog could swim all day in the river and no one bothered us. We camped there with friends and we were able to pull up next to each other awning to awning. All in all it was a great place for us. We camped at Homestead by the River in a Fifth Wheel.

Wild Acres RV Resort and Campground (formerly NASCAR RV Resorts), Old Orchard Beach, Maine

Date of Stay: September, 2005 - $56.00
Overall Rating:

This was the second time we camped at Wild Acres. We will not return to this campsite. It was extremely noisy. The train ran all night behind our site. The children screamed all day in the pools and the playgrounds. No adults were present with them. It seems that the park caters to seasonals. They do not clean up after their pets. I am a witness. I watched a seasonal family bring their three barking dogs out to do their thing many times during the day and not once did they pick up after them. They allowed the dogs to defecate in the playground and left it there. There were a lot of noisy motorcycles, electric golf carts, etc with teenagers who did not have any respect for the people around them. There was a block party going on one night and we couldn't even drive our car down the street because we were in their way (seasonals). Needless to say we will never return here. Very expensive for no reason, bugs, dirt, noise, and no respect. We camped at Wild Acres RV Resort and Campground (formerly NASCAR RV Resorts) in a Fifth Wheel.
