Savannah South KOA, Richmond Hill, Georgia

Date of Stay: November, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Staff was pleasant & helpful. Roads fairly narrow but more than manageable. But they are 2-way. Need to watch out when leaving campground you may meet someone else trying to leave at the same time.
Trash picked up daily and plenty of park presence by staff.
Good electric. Our site had the services at the back of the site & we needed 25' of sewer hose. Had stayed here before just for an overnight, convenient to I-95 and stayed 3 nights this time. Lake had many swans, geese and other water fowl. Will saty again. Didn't have enough time to see all we wanted to do in the area. We camped at Savannah South KOA in a Motorhome.

Pecan Park RV Resort, Jacksonville, Florida

Date of Stay: November, 2015 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

We have frequently stayed here as an over night stop over the years. Long, level sites. WiFi is password protected but didn't work this time. Didn't bother to tell the office.
Power good. Had Chinese food delivered so we didn't have to go out or cook. We camped at Pecan Park RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Camelot RV Park, Malabar, Florida

Date of Stay: November, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Well maintained. Paved roads. Some turns & in and out of site could be tight due to fairly narrow streets. Good electric and good water pressure.
Our site had a nice view of the Indian River.
People were very accommodating. Dumpsters were easy to get to.
Did not use the cable but did use the WiFi (very good and password protected). Would stay again if in the area. We camped at Camelot RV Park in a Motorhome.

Orlando / Kissimmee KOA, Kissimmee, Florida

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $84.00
Overall Rating:

I guess the price reflects the tourist area. Significantly higher than Ft Wilderness in the same season. But they had availability.
Tight turn entering park. Had a couple of tight turns inside the campground. Big, open sites.
Very convenient to shopping. We camped at Orlando / Kissimmee KOA in a Motorhome.

Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, Lake Buena Vista, Florida

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $75.00
Overall Rating:

We really like this park and come at least once a year.
Sites are back ins - most are easy to maneuver into. Price is actually very reasonable compared to other parks in the area. We camped at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

Lazydays RV Campground, Seffner, Florida

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Close sites, pretty short. Park toad in the street.
Employees run golf carts thru the park very quickly. Be on your toes.
Nice little pub/restaurant next to pool. (Very loud music on Friday night, went someplace else).
Convenient from I75/I4 - off I4. We camped at Lazydays RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Punta Gorda RV Resort, Punta Gorda, Florida

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

A couple of areas that weren't perfect but the service and helpfulness more than made up for it. Stayed for over 3 months due to medical issues and we were treated very well.

Power wasn't very good. Meter showed a consistent 108 volts so we were careful with what appliances we were running. Needed three 10' lengths of sewer hose, slightly up hill at our site (G28).

Mostly seasonal sites. Expect winter time would be hard to book.

A couple of pull throughs.

Would definitely stay again. We camped at Punta Gorda RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Alligator Park Mobile Home and RV Park (55+ park), Punta Gorda, Florida

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Due to medical problems, stayed 6 months starting mid December 2014.

Daily price is a rough average (high and low seasons).

Wide paved streets, very good power (although some outages from the local power company).

Heavy rain in summer did not cause any problems with the site due to good drainage.

People were very accommodating.

Laundry uses credit cards only so didn't have to worry about getting quarters.

Some sites fully paved, others grass with concrete pad. We camped at Alligator Park Mobile Home and RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Red Oaks RV Resort, Bushnell, Florida

Date of Stay: November, 2014 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Stopped for an overnight and arrived late. Followed signs to registration area and called the number posted. People came very quickly and guided us to our site. Nice long pull through. Long sewer run with toad hooked up but we didn't need it. Only drawback was that we didn't know what to do with trash. Saw someone picking up trash in a pickup truck so we left it at the site in the morning. Will stay again when in the area. Would not mind staying longer. We camped at Red Oaks RV Resort in a Motorhome.

James Island County Park, Charleston, South Carolina

Date of Stay: November, 2014 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

We've been staying yearly for a number of years. Usually for 1 week. Superb park. Maintenance staff (county) have been helpful and friendly. Work Campers always friendly and helpful. Convenient to downtown. Good walking/biking around park. Big off leash dog park. Hard to get reservations during "festival of lights". Try to get there for it. A great light show. We camped at James Island County Park in a Motorhome.

South of the Border, Dillon, South Carolina

Date of Stay: November, 2014 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Significantly improved since our last stay. In 50 amp sites, which were pretty tight getting in/out of due to a fence across the road and the way long term campers had to park their trucks. We were in site 176. Very cold, did not hook up water or sewer hose.

Roads were paved and in pretty good shape. Trees well trimmed. No problems with scraping branches. Very good overnight park. Walking distance to all types of restaurants on the property (the steak house is excellent) if you don't want to cook. We camped at South of the Border in a Motorhome.

Saltwater Farms Campground, Thomaston, Maine

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We try to get here once a year. Really would like to say something bad so nobody else would come but this really is a gem. Great place to use as to browse the midcoast of maine. We got to know the area pretty well and still feel like we need 2 weeks to re-visit our favorite haunts. Power, water and roads good. Wifi usually very good. No cable and limited local TV stations. Do not follow GPS to get here. Use US route 1 to prison store (visit later) and turn "east". We camped at Saltwater Farms Campground in a Motorhome.

Chocorua KOA , West Ossipee, New Hampshire

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

Very pretty park - $2/day extra for dog Road coming into park was paved and in good repair. Road leaving was really bad. Don't mind unpaved road - and this was at end of season - but the road was really bad. Everything else in the park was good. Power, wifi and cable all good. Be careful at entry to park. Entry gate pretty close after getting off the road. Dumpster for trash near exit - stop on uphill, no room to pull over. We camped at Chocorua KOA in a Motorhome.

Letchworth State Park, Castile, New York

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Second time we were here. Camped with a group of campers. Very nice park. The 100 loop (where we were this time) had a few tight spots maneuvering larger units. Site markers had to be pulled out of ground (and replaced afterward). One site had very low hanging, heavy branches that had to be trimmed. Dump stations were easy to get through. Roads were very good. Electric power very good. Water spigots plentiful and accessible for filling tanks. Well worth the visit. We camped at Letchworth State Park in a Motorhome.
