Cagle Recreation Area, New Waverly, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

Very quite, clean and friendly Park Host. The thing I really like about this park is that it is only 45 minutes from my house on the north side of Lake Conroe. We had site #35 which is only a few feet from the water. There are a lot of birds in this park so if you are a birdwatcher you will be delighted. The hike/bike trails are a great way to get up and out. We have already booked this park for our 2016 "local" outing and will be back as often as possible. We camped at Cagle Recreation Area in a Motorhome.

Gulf State Park Campground, Gulf Shores, Alabama

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Very well maintained site. Pads are well spaced. We stayed on the lake and had beautiful sunsets every evening and great sunrise every morning looking across the lake to the south. Maybe a mile or so to the beautiful beaches of Gulf Shores. Great gift shop, swimming pool with water park, quite for having so many kids around, Don't know about the internet service but the Satellite reception was great. Would definitely stay there again, in fact I can't wait to get back. We camped at Gulf State Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Pecan Grove RV Park, Austin, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Great location for Austin and Hill Country activities. The manager is very friendly and accommodating. There are only 12 sites available for overnight travelers the rest are full time residents. I would definitely stay there again. In fact, I would consider a full time spot when I retire. The only drawback is that they only take cash so have some on you when you arrive. We camped at Pecan Grove RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nice and quiet, with lots of trees and a bike ride away from the lake. Waterfront lots available but were booked up. I have already booked the waterfront for 2 more trips we plan to spend at this park. Can't wait to get there again. We camped at Lake Livingston State Park in a Motorhome.
