Wonderful park with wonderful host. Very small campground settled between a small creek and a small road. Campsites are very large with plenty of privacy. Camp owners live a short distance up the road and will come by 2-3 times a day to check on you. They request bonfire wood to be brought in but they will provide you ample of free wood. Must have a full unit to come in due to no boathouse or showers on site but ample water and power. Direct TV on site (limited channels) but works well. Plenty of open air though if you prefer your satellite. Wi-Fi works great and no problems with service. We highly recommend this park if you want to come out to the mountains and get away from it all.

We arrived at Honey Bear Campground for Memorial Day weekend. We made reservations 2 months in advance and received site C-7. First impression was rather sad, we knew we were in trouble when their sign was being held together by a ratchet strap. When we arrived they made us wait for 2 hours to check in. Once we were allowed to go to our site we were faced with a site that was barely accommodating for our 27' TT. My hitch was barely out of the road and my back bumper was hovering over the fire pit (making it unusable). The electrical hook up was missing spacer and blanks allowing for exposed electrical parts to possibly be contacted. Cable TV was advertised on the website and on the packet that was given to us at check in. We hooked up to the dilapidated hook up that was there and no cable. Wifi was terrible, and had no water for 2 hours after set up. When the camper arrived for site c-6 I could sit on my couch and touch his awning. Spoke to Management and they said they could not move us even though a unit half my size came in about an hour later and set up in a site twice the size of mine. Next spoke to an owner who basically told us if we didn't like it we could leave. So we packed up our camper and found a much nicer campground a few miles down the road.

Wonderful park with a great atmosphere. We stayed here over the weekend and were blown away. Very nice CG with great owners and campers alike. Pool was open even though we stayed after Labor Day and was clean and up to date. The Playground where my daughter spent most of her time was very large and clean and had plenty for her to do. WIFI worked great and the cable was pretty good too. We will stay here again and we recommend it to anyone. Only about 30 mins from Concord Mills and plenty of other local attractions.

Nice campground that is in need of some attention from the management. When you arrive to the resort you will find a beautiful office area to check in with friendly staff and plenty of security. The front gate guards were always very nice looking and friendly. When you check in you are given a large map of the campground that has all the rules on it. Take that map and ball it up and throw it in the trash can because there is no one who enforces these rules once you clear the front gates. Now after you clear the front gate you are in no mans land dodging golf carts, bikes, pedestrians, scooters and dogs. They do have a couple of guys that ride around on golf carts that are labeled "Patrol" but all I seen them do is sit in the parking lot of the campground store and talk and tell stories with one another. Enough about all of that. It is a decent campground. The site we had was large and pretty level. Would have liked to see a little firmer surface on the site of some sort but all in all it was okay. Utilities worked like a champ, very hot while we were here and had no problems with the A/C. Bathhouses were clean but not spotless but had good water and plenty of hot water. Plenty of activities for the kiddos inside the park my daughter really enjoyed the bible school that was offered the week we were there. But there are plenty to do for both young and old alike.

Beautiful city owned and maintained CG. Sits along the banks of Oak Hollow Lake in a rather quiet cove. We saw a few boats but none were loud due to the no wake zone that was near by. Would have rated this CG a 10 if the spaces were a little wider and some work was done to level them up. Has to do some work to get my TT leveled but nothing that was unreasonable. The website states they do not accept reservations but if you call the day of arrival they will save you a site. Excellent staff we were assigned site C14 and was told it had 30 amp service well after spending some time leveling I went to plug in and found a 50 amp plug. Oh we'll I said and headed to the office/camp store to purchase an adapter. The man in the store gave me a brand new adapter and said just bring it back when you check out. Now trusting people is hard to find anymore. We will return and hopefully be able to stay longer than 2 nights.

We have been going to Homeplace Park for many years mainly because it was local to us. This is the second time we have camped in the camp ground and we really enjoy the environment inside of the campground. All the staff is incredibly helpful and friendly to all the campers. The weekend we were there they had a very large gathering there and the staff was able to accommodate everyone and make sure that the grounds were kept in excellent condition. We camped in a 30 foot TT and had no problems getting in or out great power water in sewer are in good locations. Site was a little uu-level but was an easy fix with a couple of blocks. I would recommend this place to anyone.
