Blue Spring State Park, Orange City, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2007 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

We camped here during Daytona Speedweeks, which happens to be in the middle of manatee season. The park is very nice and we saw plenty of manatees. We camped in site #15 and I think it was the largest site in the campground. Some of the sites seem very small and un-level. None of the sites are paved. Access to the St. John's River is available outside the park utilizing a sand boat ramp. While fishing on the St. John's we saw tons of wildlife, manatees included. We will definitely camp here again. We camped at Blue Spring State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Six Mile Creek COE, Selma, Alabama

Date of Stay: September, 2006 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

Overall the park was very nice. The restrooms and showers were well kept and clean. The dock at the end of the boat ramp was very crowded. Although the rules state that alcohol is prohibited, there were several people openly drinking throughout the park, some extremely intoxicated. Do not come to this park if you want some peace and quiet. We camped at Six Mile Creek COE in a Travel Trailer.

Seminole State Park, Donalsonville, Georgia

Date of Stay: August, 2006 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

This park is heavily used by recreational boaters. If peace and quiet is what you are looking for, do not come to this park. There are constantly ski boats circling the area inside the state park. With that being said, the campground is very nice. The sites are mostly pull-throughs and are very spacious. The campground host was very gracious and helpful. We camped at Seminole State Park in a Travel Trailer.

North Karick Lake Recreation Area, Baker, Florida

Date of Stay: August, 2006 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is surprisingly nice. All the sites are paved and are very large. All the facilities are well maintained. It was very hot when we camped here, so the fish were not biting. However, we will definitely come back when the weather is cooler. We camped at North Karick Lake Recreation Area in a Travel Trailer.
