We had the pleasure of being a part of the Country Acres Campground Community from the beginning of May through June. We found the staff and owners to be very accommodating, respectful and presented great customer service. The park is kept very clean and chocked full of activities for families. From the Jumping Pillow, Friday Night Kids' Movies, a playground, the pool, gameroom, fishing at the lake, etc... They have plenty for you to do! The lake is just beautiful with a road encompassing it for walking and a nice fishing dock. We caught several fish, saw turtles, a blue heron, lots of woodpeckers and song birds as well as the pet ducks and swan that live on the lake. The owners always greeted us nicely and treated us like family during our stay. The monthly rates are great and very fair as well as the electricity rates for the monthly campers. Our daughter really fell in love with the playground and "Henry" the swan! Their camp store is very cute with everything you forgot to bring on your trip. The owners are great about enforcing the 11pm quiet time rules, so you're actually able to get sleep. And the overall location, close to Newton Falls, Ravenna and even the downtown area of Kent University. We had a wonderful stay and plan on making a trip back, not just for the amenities but to see the owners which we now consider friends! Great place, great people!!

We were here on business. The campground itself is clean and well maintained. Unfortunately, upon arrival we found that the park has zero cell reception...I mean zero for all mobile carriers. You have to travel 30 minutes into town to get any type of even a roaming signal. That wouldn't be a big deal if the "wifi" they claim they have actually works. Now, if you're here to just take in wildlife, escape and be "off the grid" to all family and friends - then this is your place! But, if you want to be able to stay in touch with family, etc... Forget it. There's NOTHING to keep you connected with the world. I found the owners to be very nice and accommodating (other than the internet). The sites are all grass and can get a little muddy with lots of rain, but for the most part they are level and the grass is well maintained. The park was quiet during the week, a little more rowdy on the weekends, especially with the festivals going on. The view of the PA Hyner Mountains are GORGEOUS and almost make up for the lack of contact with the outside world, almost...

This campground was nice. We stayed here through the winter and found that ALL amenities were shut down, including the plowing of the campground roads. The owners are nice, accommodating people. They are a little testy about the payments. If you stay for a month and leave early you will not be getting a refund even with giving notice. They then put you on a weekly rate and charge you money for leaving early. We came to a fair arrangement. But still a little frustrating. The fall leaves were beautiful and the campsites level. Very sandy and muddy...so the inside of the RV's get dirty quickly.
