Most expensive campground on our month long trip. So far was the tightest one to park in. Took two staff to help direct my husband into site. Once in our view was of sewer lines from camper next to us. Dog chain allowed our dog to enter both neighbors sites. People very friendly but much too tight for our tastes. Glad we were able to depart without damaging rig.

This park was such a change from Easterlin. Not nearly as crowded and easy access in and out of park. Convenient to grocery and restaurants. Good hiking trails and views.

This was a very tight park to get parked in with a 36 ft fifth wheel. Had to ask neighbor to move their toad for us to back in. Trees were everywhere where turning and backing. Too tight for us to return to. Train tracks directly behind campground, hard to carry on a conversation if outside when train came by. Roads in and out of campground narrow and close trees.

Date of Stay:

Sites close together and too short for fiver and truck to park on pad. Park has goid hiking trail that leads to historical site. We backed up to lake with good view.

We stopped here without a reservation and spent two nights. This is a very large campground with what appears to be nice facilities. Only complaint is there were many empty spots but we were given one right next to other campers. They do have events throughout the year so seems to be good for families. We just missed Mardi Gras parade which neighbors enjoyed.

We had trouble locating the park from the street as the only sign we saw was to the city animal shelter. Once we did find it we decided not to stay as this is truly set up for rallies. There are hookups in open fields and also on large concrete parking lots. Maybe, and probably not for us anyway, would we stay here if attending a special event. A Walmart parking lot would be better without the fee, although you would not have water/electric connections.

Great value for an overnight stop. Easy access and satisfactory sites. Does have some long term folks and next to highway. With bedroom fan noise was not annoying. Did hear a train several times. Would stay again when passing through.

Alright for overnight. Pad not level, required unhooking to level for night. Hookups at front requiring double hoses. Road up the hill rather interesting, glad we did not meet oncoming traffic. Owner not on site, friendly on phone. Overpriced for what it is. Most sites seemed to be long term.

Pulled in off IH-10 for the night to avoid the $30-50 parks. Price is good. Did not use restroom facilities so no comment on them. Had to move from first site we chose as there is not water at each site and our two hoses would not reach. If you need water be sure to check site connections before setting up. Picnic tables and fire rings at some sites. Location good and we enjoy being in a more natural park than the usual resort or parking lot types. Very enjoyable for enjoying nature. There is a hawk nest in tree next to our site. Also a nature trail leaves from campground. Would return to campground but we're disappointed about water connections.

This park was adequate. We were disappointed when first arriving due to unkempt and aging status. We did enjoy cooling off with a drink in our chairs in middle of river. Could be much nicer if utilities and sites updated. Manager/owner ? Friendly.

Looked like best park to stop overnight before passing through Houston. Over nighters given sights near entry which means lots of traffic with large loud diesel trucks late evening/ early morning. Pool closes at 8:00...why? Close tight sites without view unless next to river. Most expensive park in 6 weeks on road and least enjoyable!

We enjoy COE parks for the nature and beauty. We were not disappointed in this park. There are essentially 2 areas; one through the gate and one before you enter. Unfortunately, the dump station was half a mile inside the gate...so would be quite a distance for a totie!! We spent 2 nights and enjoyed the views, peace and quiet.

Seemed like a nice park and probably is in the winter. Not our kind of park, as sites are on gravel lots. No shade trees. Redeeming factor was the price and two pools and one hot tub, which were all very nice.

Decent stop off for the night. Friendly staff. Good restaurant and decent pool. Staff did say new owners taking over 1 July with plans to upgrade.
