Myrtle Beach KOA, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $79.00
Overall Rating:

Interior roads are a little tight somewhat. This is caused by campers not getting off the road. Speed limit is 10 miles an hour but we observed maybe one in ten observing it. Sites will be tight for anything longer than 40' feet. Entrance is not clearly marked. We camped at Myrtle Beach KOA in a Motorhome.

North River Campground, Shawboro, North Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

A really good park a little off the beaten path. Park is very well maintained. About a 30 minute drive to the Outer Banks. Site was level and not difficult to get in. They meet you and guide you into your site. We camped at North River Campground in a Motorhome.

Lake Somerset Family Campground, Westover, Maryland

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Small family owned park next to a major highway so you have a lot of traffic noise if outside. Sites were okay but close to each other. Do not come in here without a surge protector. Our electric surged above 130 volts for four days. The campground is trying to fix the issue but a word of warning. We camped at Lake Somerset Family Campground in a Motorhome.

Delaware Seashore State Park, Rehoboth Beach, Delaware

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Sites are level and utilities were placed good. We stayed in the south section (cross over the bridge and the entrance is on the right). Interior roads were easy to navigate and were asphalt. I had to park our toad beside our motorhome. Anything longer than 40 feet would have difficulty fitting on a site. We camped at Delaware Seashore State Park in a Motorhome.

Clayton Park Recreational Area, Lake Ariel, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Nice campground. Little off the beaten path but worth the drive from I84. There are a lot of seasonals and I expect this park is full most weekends. It sits on the lake and while we didn't have a lake side site you can see most of the lake. We camped at Clayton Park Recreational Area in a Motorhome.

Holiday Acres Camping Resort, North Scituate, Rhode Island

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

New owner as of last fall and he is making improvements as he can. The entrance road is horrible. It is gravel and full of potholes. Transient camping is pretty much in an open field. Campground caters to seasonals as we have found to be the case in most independent campgrounds in the Northeast. This could be a good campground in a couple years. We camped at Holiday Acres Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

Newfound RV Park, Bristol, New Hampshire

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

Never again. Pulled into the park, checked in and was escorted to a site. Connect to electricity and our surge protector showed no power on one leg. Contacted the owner and he was insistent nothing was wrong with the park's electricity even after I showed him the reading at the surge protector and also inside. Both were showing a wiring fault. After much discussion he finally changed the breaker out to no avail. After more discussion we told him we would be leaving the next morning as he had me convinced something was wrong with my system. We had paid for a week ($350.00). He was "generous" enough to refund $200.00 so we actually paid $150.00 for one night with no electricity. We get to our next campground and no issues with electricity. I'm actually writing this review two weeks after leaving and have had no issues since leaving. We camped at Newfound RV Park in a Motorhome.

Quechee / Pine Valley KOA, White River Junction, Vermont

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $69.00
Overall Rating:

Overall a good park. Had a pull-in, back out site. Site could have been more level as we had to use boards under the front wheels to get level. Interior roads and site are all gravel. We camped at Quechee / Pine Valley KOA in a Motorhome.

Naples KOA Campground (formerly Naples Campground), Naples, Maine

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Kind of hard to rate this campground. They do have all of the amenities of KOAs. Entrance road and interior roads are gravel. Office is located up on top of a hill and is kinda difficult to find as the signage to find it is lacking until you are well into the campground. We had a back-in site and had no issues getting level. As with most campgrounds in the Northeast there are numerous seasonal sites. We camped at Naples KOA Campground (formerly Naples Campground) in a Motorhome.

Timberland Acres RV Park, Trenton, Maine

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Pull-thru sites are long enough for motorhome and toad. It appeared transient sites were all in an open field. Seasonal sites were back-in with lots of trees. Staff at check-in are very friendly. Really didn't notice much road noise as you are about 500 yards from it. As with most campgrounds in the Northeast there appeared to be a lot of seasonal campers but all were pretty well maintained. The owner does live on-site during the season. It is an easy drive to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. We camped at Timberland Acres RV Park in a Motorhome.

Normandy Farms, Foxboro, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $79.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice campground. Pull-thru sites are more than long enough for motor home and toad. There is high water pressure so make sure you connect your pressure reducer at the spigot. Good electrical and consistent. Partial shaded sites so you can use your satellite. We camped at Normandy Farms in a Motorhome.

Fancy Gap Cabins and Campground, Fancy Gap, Virginia

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Rate includes one night at PA rate. What a hidden gem. Sits right on Blue Ridge Parkway. When entering campground from the parkway use the gravel road to the left. The right paved road goes to the ranger station. We were in a 40' motorhome and the drive up the parkway from the south is easy. So is the route from the North. Cage is approximately 3 miles from Interstate 77. Owners live on site and are great. Fancy Gap, VA is approximately 3 miles. We camped at Fancy Gap Cabins and Campground in a Motorhome.

Mill Creek COE, Jasper, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

COE park in fair condition. Does not appear to have had any money spent on it in years. Most sites in our loop accommodate a 35' or shorter. We stayed on site 21 which accommodated our 40' motorhome. I believe this would be the only site in this loop we could have stayed on without serious leveling issues. We camped at Mill Creek COE in a Motorhome.

Persimmon Hill (Enid Lake) COE, Enid, Mississippi

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $9.00
Overall Rating:

Absolutely the best COE park we have found in our travels. Sites are concrete with additional space for your toad. It is very busy on weekends. Nice spacing between the sites. Interior roads are easy to navigate. All sites are FHU now with 30/50 amp service. Price reflects the America the Beautiful discount. We camped at Persimmon Hill (Enid Lake) COE in a Motorhome.
