Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort, Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed at the park several times and find it extremely convenient to all areas of Las Vegas. It is large but well laid out with good-sized, pull through sites.

The sites are large enough for pop outs and most have small areas of grass. Because our electric is at the back of the fifth wheel, we had full forward quite a distance to remain connected to our tow vehicle.

Wi-Fi is good as well as cable TV. Multiple fenced gravel small dog runs are located around the park as well as one large fenced area immediately outside the main entrance. We camped at Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Mono Vista RV Park, Lee Vining, California

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This park is conveniently located within driving distance to many Eastern Sierra areas. It is a beautiful day drive over the Tioga Pass into Yosemite and fishing is available in streams and lakes. The park itself is walking distance to the small area in Lee Vining with coffee shops. Our site was a pull through on gravel and grass and was mostly level with convenient access to utilities. The cable television had poor service but was available. The park has numerous cottonwood trees, which at this time of year had so much fluff that it often appeared to be snowing. While there is no enclosed dog area, there is a lovely desert walk with a nice path. The owners stress that dogs are not allowed to be left unattended in your unit which does make it difficult at times. Each side has a barbecue area but no fire pits are available. This park only takes cash or checks. We camped at Mono Vista RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

There is only a small convenience store in Lee Vining. The closest large grocery store is in Mammoth. The Mono Inn has a very nice dinner house with a spectacular view of Mono Lake.

Willcox / Cochise, AZ KOA (formerly Magic Circle RV Park), Willcox, Arizona

Date of Stay: December, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

The park is located directly off of I 10 so there is a considerable amount of freeway noise. On the plus side, there is very easy access and it is near several truck stop, fast food outlets and a truck RV car wash. Pull through site was just large enough for our rig and 36 foot trailer. Good access to utilities, good cable service, and good Verizon Internet service. Park Wi-Fi was poor and spotty. Very nice large gravel dog yard. Picnic table was covered to help with Sun and wind . Some sites had tree coverage Would stay again for overnight. We camped at Willcox / Cochise, AZ KOA (formerly Magic Circle RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Santa Rosa Campground & RV Park, Santa Rosa, New Mexico

Date of Stay: December, 2015 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in this park for an overnight stay. It has easy access off of the I 40 and fairly level pull through sites which easily accommodated our truck and fifth wheel. Utilities were easy to access. Water was very brown and had particles in it so we elected to use bottled water. We had not hooked up to the sewer so we were not comfortable letting it run to see if that would clear the line. Good cable TV reception. Verizon service excellent. Small grass areas and trees between each unit. As there were a few rigs in the camp they made sure to place everyone far apart. There was a small unfenced dog area. There was some freeway and train noise but it did not bother us. We would stay here again. We camped at Santa Rosa Campground & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Bar J Hitchin Post RV, Sweetwater, Texas

Date of Stay: December, 2015 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We chose this place for easy in and out for an overnight stay. It is directly across the street from a Loves truck stop and there is noise from the freeway and the truck stop. However, it serves its purpose exactly for an easy overnight stay. The space was level and easily held are 36 foot fifth wheel and truck. There was a large grassy area immediately outside the front door. Utilities were easily accessed. Cable TV has 13 channels. Verizon service was good. The entire park was clean and neat and there are trees between the large spaces. There is no dog walk, playground, or any other amenities. We camped at Bar J Hitchin Post RV in a Fifth Wheel.

Hidden Valley RV Park, Von Ormy, Texas

Date of Stay: December, 2015 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

We have a 36 foot fifth wheel so the area we stayed in was a large mostly open field. The hookups were easily accessed. We had very good antenna reception but Verizon was very weak. We had a large open grassy area in front of our door This park is within 10 minutes of Lackland Air Force Base which was convenient for our needs. The entrance into the park is packed dirt and gravel and require driving very slowly. We rented the cowboy palace for a family member and it definitely was not worth the rental price.. It was old and in very poor working conditions and with no heat which was very necessary with 40 degree nights. We camped at Hidden Valley RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Benjamin's kitchen is very close and provides a very inexpensive breakfast. There was a large communal fire pit which we did not use but it was near our unit. It took about 20 minutes to get to downtown San Antonio

Caverns of Sonora RV Park, Sonora, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2015 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This campsie zip off of i-10 about 8 miles. Approximately 1 miles was on APAC on a packed gravel road. As mentioned in other reviews entrance into the few pull through RV sites is tight. All of the RV sites are on a packed gravel base. There was no cable and Verizon service was minimal. Surrounding the RV ares are well kept grounds and tent areas. We saw abundant wildlife. We camped at Caverns of Sonora RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Sunny Acres RV Park (55+ park), Las Cruces, New Mexico

Date of Stay: November, 2015 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Overnight stay only in our 36 foot fifth wheel in a nice pull through spot. Multiple different ways of accessing this park off of the 10 East freeway Park is mainly long-term residents but the area is well maintained and all trailers are clean and neat. Wi-Fi is free but very unreliable with minimal service. Verizon service and cable were excellent. Nice fenced grass dog park in middle of park. Would stay here again for overnight. We camped at Sunny Acres RV Park (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Date of Stay: November, 2015 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We had a large pull through which accommodated our 36 foot fifth wheel and truck. Site was level with some grass and dirt. Nice fenced dog park in area away from main Park. Good walking along River. Verizon service was good. No cable available as office was closed. Per sign on door cable available only during office hours. We were able to pick up some channels with antenna. Tombstone RV Park and Campground, Tombstone, Arizona

Date of Stay: November, 2015 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Flat, level spaces which are easily accessible. Pull through site but had to disconnect as was not long enough For truck & 36 foot fifth wheel Cable service was grainy. Internet works wells. Good water pressure. Small fenced dog area. Verizon service was good. They have a shuttle which will take you into Tombstone which would be helpful as parking is limited. Landscape nicely for desert area. We camped at Tombstone RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Taos Monte Bello RV Park, Taos, New Mexico

Date of Stay: October, 2014 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is a small park located conveniently East of Taos off of highway. Our pull through site was level and easy to access. At this time of year water had to be disconnected in the evening to prevent freezing of hose and facility hook up. Verizon service was excellent and DirecTV easy to access. There is a large covered common area with a barbecue and picnic tables as well as picnic tables at each site. The area is high desert so landscaping is desert foliage and cactus. There is no fenced dog area but there is a well maintained dirt trail which made an excellent one mile walk for the dog. There is a nice store and staff was very helpful with suggestions for touring the area. We camped at Taos Monte Bello RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Black Bart's RV Park, Flagstaff, Arizona

Date of Stay: October, 2014 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

This park is in need of a good overhaul. Picnic table was splintering and warped, slab cracked, and dirt pull through site not level. Location is near town and the access from the highway is easy in and out. TV antenna service was excellent and Verizon service was good. There is no fenced dog area, however there is a large wooded undeveloped area adjoining the park which was perfect for a long walk. This park was a good overnight stop. I would stay here again for overnight only. We camped at Black Bart's RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Sounds of the Sea RV Park, Trinidad, California

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very quiet, well cared for park with friendly management. It is located close to Patricks Point with easy freeway using the Patrick's Point State Park exit off of Highway 101. Sites on lower level are on gravel base with very small areas of grass. Some sites are larger than others, however the one we stayed in allowed minimal room (< 5') between ourselves and adjoining trailers. There was a small picnic table on a cement slab at the rear of our trailer, however it was in 3 feet of the adjoining trailer hook up and sewer system. Many sites are 30 amp only, however since the weather was cool we did not need 50 amp service. Internet access is free with a code, however during periods of peak use it was inaccessible. Cable TV was adequate. Verizon service is very limited. The best sites are back in with a partial ocean view and small patio. These seem to be mostly used by overnight guests. We would use this park again only if we could have the back in site with patio as there was no outdoor seating space at our site at all. There is no dog run and very limited space to walk dogs. The park was extremely quiet, and had a nice fish cleaning station as well as a shared fire ring. We camped at Sounds of the Sea RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
