Rolfe C. Hoyer campground, Greer, Arizona

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

A very beautiful campground with nice amenities but... all of the roads are dirt and every vehicle that comes roaring by, and they all do, throws up a huge cloud of dust. If you stay here get as far back into one of the loops as possible you do not want to anywhere near a main road. The staff is great but don't do squat about all of the people speeding through the campground raising dust clouds. If there is no breeze you will be inundated with flies {the entire area is heavily grazed by cattle and there are lots pos horses}. We finally quit going to Hoyer after a number of visits due to the dust and flies. We camped at Rolfe C. Hoyer campground in a Motorhome.

Lakeside Casino & RV Park , Pahrump, Nevada

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We found Lakeside to be one of the nicest parks we've ever visited. Neat, clean, beautifully landscaped with lots of trees/shade I doubt there is a bad site in the entire park. The staff was very friendly, competent and just a pleasure to deal with. The amenities are first class from the large pool to the lovely sand beach on the lake. The adjacent Casino is small, no table games just electronic games of chance, not loud or smokey; it was pleasure to spend time in. The restaurant has great food at very good prices. We enjoyed both breakfast and the buffet. We only stayed one night as we were returning home but will be back soon and for several nights. We camped at Lakeside Casino & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Deer Meadow Campground, Cooksburg, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

This is a large park with mostly seasonal sites. Lots of activities for the kids, with wide open spaces. Got the Good Sam 10% discount and stayed over Friday and Saturday nights. Lots of unsupervised screaming kids became an annoyance which we reported to the staff. We would stay there again but cannot recommend weekends. We camped at Deer Meadow Campground in a Motorhome.

Old Orchard Beach Campground, Old Orchard Beach, Maine

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Most of the park is devoted to seasonals. They have their own pool non-seasonals not allowed. The pool for the rest of us is located a very long hike from the campground area behind the office. Level, gravel sites with lots of grass in between. We were there over the Memorial Day weekend for 4 nights. We camped at Old Orchard Beach Campground in a Motorhome.

Austin Campground, Austin, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

A nice family oriented facility located one mile down a narrow dirt road. The sites are close together and there are lots of seasonals. The staff was friendly and while the campground was nearly deserted on the weekday we were there the weekends are reported to be very crowded and reservations are recommended. We camped at Austin Campground in a Motorhome.
