Baileyton RV Park, Greeneville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

This was our 2nd stay here and the park had put in a lot of improvements in two years. There's a great deal of pride of ownership. It's a beautiful location, very quiet area, and the park is very clean. Owners are on site, very helpful and it's obvious they keep on top of things. We had a 50 amp, full hookup pull thru site near the front. There's no dog park but there's plenty of places to walk the dogs. Lots of outdoor amenities. Very nice pool. Great water pressure. Wifi was great. Clean laundry room. Park felt safe and we slept very well. We enjoyed our stay here and hope we can stop by again. We camped at Baileyton RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nashville East / Lebanon KOA (formerly Countryside Resort), Lebanon, Tennessee

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

This was just an overnight stay. Easy to find from the interstate but the 2.5 miles of two-lane road that you have to drive thru had many low hanging branches. Internal roads are a little narrow and tight. Sites are tight too. Our full hookups site was shady and just long enough to fit our 40' rig and tow car. Internet and water pressure were great. There's a dog park and plenty of places to walk the dogs. It was obvious that people did not pick up their dog poop. Lots of it around so watch your step. Plenty of long term residents. It was fine for overnight but I wouldn't stay here too long. We camped at Nashville East / Lebanon KOA (formerly Countryside Resort) in a Motorhome.

Midway RV Park (Military FamCamp), Mid-South Naval Support Activity, Tennessee

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed for 2 months over the summer due to some repair work needed on our motorhome. They were usually pretty full while we were there. There are quite a number of long-term and permanent residents, both active duty and retired, along with a few trailers that appeared to be just parked on a site with no one actually staying there regularly. All the pads are back-in, 50 amps full hookups with plenty of space to maneuver. Pads are cement and there's plenty of space between most sites. Most of the sites have some shade with only a couple that are completely open to the sky. You aren't assigned a site#. Instead, you choose your site from any of the available ones there. You can also move to another empty site if you don't like the one you're in. You just have to update the park on your new site. We had some electrical problems for a few days after we arrived but the park manager personally changed the circuit breaker on the pedestal as soon as he could and problem solved. Water pressure was great, free wifi was good enough to check email. Free HE washers and dryers worked great. Bath house always looked clean. The grass was trimmed regularly in the park. There's a dog park across the street and plenty of areas to walk the dog. The two camp hosts are great about being visible and available. They were both active duty so they shared the hosting job depending on their schedules. During the week, a park employee is available to check in travelers in the laundry/bath house. It's a well managed and well maintained park. We enjoyed our stay here and hope to stop by again. We camped at Midway RV Park (Military FamCamp) in a Motorhome.

Agricenter International RV Park, Memphis, Tennessee

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We made reservations over the phone. Stayed 3 nights in a 50 amp FHU site. Check-in with the camp host (there are two) at the park entrance. All sites are pull thru. No shade. Good wifi, no cable. Great water pressure. Sites are gravel. You share a pedestal so every two sites are back to back and you face your neighbor's front door on the other side. Very tight fit and you share a yard. No amenities like pool, dog park or playground, but there are plenty of restaurants and shopping just down the road. Big field nearby to walk the dogs. Use the Germantown Rd entrance to avoid speed bumps. Best thing about our stay was the nearby Farmer's Market we could walk to every day (May-Oct). Would stay here again for short-term or overnight. We camped at Agricenter International RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tanbark Campground, Dickson, Tennessee

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

I reserved over the phone and told the male staff member twice that we needed 50 amps, a pull-through, and that we were a big rig towing. He told us twice that he had a spot for us. When we got there, he tried to give us a back in with 30 amps. Felt like a bait and switch. The road entering the park is narrow and winding with low tree branches. The interior roads are narrow with very tight turns. And the sites are not big rig friendly. If you're longer than 60' including a tow car, go to another park. It's an older park with lots of long term residents. WiFi was free but weak. The sewer hook up was way in the back next to our toad. It's convenient to I-40. The sites are just too tight and small for us. We won't return. We camped at Tanbark Campground in a Motorhome.

Cross Country Campground, Denver, North Carolina

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

We come here for short-term stays when in the area to visit family. They recently raised their rates. They have a 14-day limit for short-term stays, then you have to leave for a few days before returning for another 14 days. Holidays esp Halloween are always packed. We stay in a FHU 50 amp pull-thru on the lot near the pool which is adjacent to the highway. The office staff are helpful and accommodating once they get to know you better. It's an older park, they keep the sites minimally maintained, wifi is free but weak in spots, water pressure is great. Dog breed restrictions apply - no chows, pits, Dobermans, Rottweilers or mixed breeds with any of those in them. There are A LOT of permanent and seasonal residents here. A large part of the park is a trailer park with a small section for travelers. Great for overnight or short stays. We camped at Cross Country Campground in a Motorhome.

Soaring Eagle Campground & RV Park, Lenoir City, Tennessee

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Perfectly fine for an overnight stay. There's highway noise but our ACs drowned it out. We were in a 50 amp full-hookup pull-through near the front. Easy in and out. Open to the sky. Off leash dog park and lots of areas to walk the dogs. WiFi is free for the 1st 6 hours but they didn't give me a code at check-in. Lots of long term and permanent residents. Adult beverages are sold in the camp store. There's a nice lake and boat dock. Our site was level with utilities conveniently placed. Pull-throughs are really narrow but long. We had no immediate neighbors but if we had, we wouldn't be able to put our awning out. For an overnight stop, I'm OK with that. Would stop here again. We camped at Soaring Eagle Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Clinton / Knoxville North KOA, Clinton, Tennessee

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

Our 3rd stay here and it's obvious they've upgraded and made lots of improvements to the park. The result is a beautiful and well maintained park. It definitely shows pride of ownership. We were only overnighting so we got a pull thru with full hookups. Check in was quick. Site was long and a wide enough to put out our slides and awning. No problem leveling. It's fine for an overnight. Cable and wifi were great. Water pressure was good. There's a nice dog park near the entrance. Lots of permanent and long term residents but their sites looked well kept. We love that we can return to this KOA every year and we'll always get great service and a safe stay. We'll be back. We camped at Clinton / Knoxville North KOA in a Motorhome.

Elkhart County Fairgrounds, Goshen, Indiana

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed for over two weeks. The 2nd week was for a diesel maintenance session with a couple hundred other Class A coaches. This was our 3rd time at this campground. We were on the NW section which had full hookups. Gravel and grass sites, paved lanes. All back-ins. Picnic table on each site. Free wifi was ok depending on where you were located, no cable. Great water pressure. Sites are open to the sky. Close to grocery stores, restaurants and downtown Goshen. Monroe Street is one lane due to road construction but hopefully they'll be done with that by the county fair. We'll definitely be back next year. We camped at Elkhart County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

Indian Springs Campground, North Bend, Ohio

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

Our 2nd stay here and not as pleasant as the first. I was quoted a rate on the phone that included a Good Sam discount so I made a reservation for the next day. When we arrived late afternoon the next day, they charged the full rate and didn't give me the discount even after I showed them my GS card! They advertise and tell you on the phone that they give the discount so I'm following up with GS about that. It was too late for us to find another overnight stop so I paid the full rate. I think that's what they're counting on if you get there late. As a self described mom and pop operation, they appear to make the rules on the fly. Some people get the 10% Good Sam discount, and others like us don't, and I don't know what criteria they used to determine that. We won't be stopping here again. We camped at Indian Springs Campground in a Motorhome.

Huntington / Fox Fire KOA, Milton, West Virginia

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Great overnight stay. Long pullthru site was level with grass and gravel. It did get muddy from the rain but that's to be expected. We had a nice wide site due to a tree next to us. Some sites look tighter than others. Utilities are in the middle. Nice small dog park and lots of space to walk the dogs. Decent free wifi and cable. Office staff were so helpful. It's an older KOA with plenty of long term and permanent residents but the park looked like it was managed well. We'd stop here again. Please note: Entrance from Hwy 60 into Fox Fire Rd is a right 180 turn (very sharp right turn) so give yourself plenty of room. Great place to stay overnight. We camped at Huntington / Fox Fire KOA in a Motorhome.

Jacksonville RV Park (Military FamCamp), Jacksonville, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Check-in was easy and the camp host met us at the park entrance and helped us set up in a pull thru in the lower section near the laundry. Site was gravel, not really level and short. We have a 40' coach with a tow dolly and the site barely fit the coach. Tow dolly had to be placed sideways and partially under the rig and the car was parked sideways. Utilities worked well. Laundry is free. Bath house was cleaned regularly. Biggest annoyance was an obvious squatter in one of the biggest back in sites across from us who used the road in front of the pull thrus like it was his backyard and tossed a football with his kids on the weekends very close to our motorhomes. He also allowed his dog to wander without a leash. He's been there so long that his 5th wheel is in the pics inside the handout the office gives you when you check in. It's also in a pic on the website. I'd love to know what arrangements need to be made in order to squat at a military RV Park for so long that you can treat it like your back yard and why exceptions like this are allowed. We camped at Jacksonville RV Park (Military FamCamp) in a Motorhome.

A Stone's Throw RV Park, Lamont, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2017 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Clean, small park if 20 sites just off the interstate. About half are pull thrus. The interstate noise didn't bother us but seriously, you will know that I-10 is in your back yard. Lanes are a little narrow and our site wasn't level (just a slight slope in the back) but no problems leveling. All sites have 50 amp and full hookups. Most sites are open to the sky. Very nice dog parks. We arrived when someone was in the office but they leave at 3pm so it's basically a self-service park. There are signs everywhere about choosing a vacant spot and depositing payment in the drop box. They office opens at 9am. Bathrooms are clean and laundry is small. Park looks relatively new with nice landscaping, trimmed grass and fresh black gravel on the roads. The grass was getting cut when we arrived. So glad to have found this place conveniently off the interstate since we travel this route all the time. We will definitely return. We camped at A Stone's Throw RV Park in a Motorhome.
