Ed Allen's Campground & Cottages, Lanexa, Virginia

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Easy access. Site was gravel & a little bit of work to get level but not too much trouble. Location is superb. A beautiful lake & creek. Nice to walk around this large park. The pool looked nice though we didn't use it. Lots of trees so good shade. WiFi not great. Would definitely stay here again if in the area. We camped at Ed Allen's Campground & Cottages in a Fifth Wheel.

Rocky Hock Campground, Edenton, North Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We enjoyed our stay at Rocky Hock. It's a large park but while we were there it was fairly empty. It's quiet & peaceful with no traffic or train whistle noise. However we were disturbed by incessant yapping from dogs. Not the campground's fault as the noise seemed to be coming from somewhere outside the park. We had a site next to the small lake. Lovely to have geese wandering around which added to the the lovely setting. Restrooms & laundry are situated a long way from most sites so that would be a problem for some but not for us. The restrooms & showers, though clean & adequate, were dated as was the game room. The signage to the camp ground was very helpful. The site was gravel & the RV needed quite a bit of leveling. WiFi adequate but no phone signal with Cricket Wireless. We would definitely come back to Rocky Hock if in the area. We camped at Rocky Hock Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Bass Lake RV Campground, Dillon, South Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

Very convenient for the 95. Easy & on off. Considering the campground is so close to the freeway it's in a beautiful location with a lake, lawns & trees. Traffic noise could be heard but not an issue for us where we were situated. The site was sand & grass & not too much difficulty levelling. The rest rooms & laundry were clean & the whole campground was beautifully maintained & well run. Very good value for money. Would definitely recommend & will return if in the area. Not much to do in the immediate area but a nice campground for overnight stay or to relax for a day or two. We camped at Bass Lake RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Lake Aire RV Park & Campground, Hollywood, South Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for 5 nights. Easy access from highway. Site was fairly level with not too much levelling required. The location is beautiful & the park very well run. There's a lake with lots of ducks. Plenty of trees & all this adds to the peace & tranquility of the park. The only downside was, due to lots of heavy rain, the site had a lot of standing water but not an issue for us. The WiFi was a little hit & miss at times. The pool was lovely & clean. The park had a cook out & fireworks for 4th July celebrations. We would definitely return to this park which is now one of our favourites. We camped at Lake Aire RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Jenny Ridge Venue & RV Park, Folkston, Georgia

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here a week. Well run new park. Site fairly level & gravel. Trains could be heard but not too loud. Traffic noise from highway not a problem at night. The only negative was the WiFi signal which was very poor. The park was very empty so, at busy times, we're guessing the signal would be non existent. Staff very friendly. Laundry room clean. Very good value We'd stay here again. Great for access to Okefenokee Wildlife Refuge. We camped at Jenny Ridge Venue & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Loved this park. Easy access in & out. Very clean rest rooms. Our grassed site was level. Long enough for our 28' 5th wheel & truck with plenty to spare. Escorted to the site. Friendly staff. We'll definitely come back to this very well run park. We camped at Casey Jones RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
