Delta Ridge RV Park, Inc., Forrest City, Arkansas

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This park is easy access off of I40. The area is a little sketchy. Near an semi abandoned motel. Grocery and food within walking distance. Gravel interior roads good. Gravel pads level. Perfect for an overnight stay. Utilities worked well. Service was excellent. Gentleman who checked us in pleasant and helpful. Set us up in a large pull through that would easily accommodate any size rig. We camped at Delta Ridge RV Park, Inc. in a Fifth Wheel.

Shady Creek RV Park & Storage, Aubrey, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This park is located close to Frisco. Easy in and out of park. Not to far off of the tollway. The sites are gravel and level. Full time residents evident but the sites are clean. Park is well maintained and the people checking us in were helpful and pleasant. A little pricey but choices are limited. Would rate it higher but the sites are a little close though they did have ample parking. All back ins. No pull throughs. We camped at Shady Creek RV Park & Storage in a Fifth Wheel.

Clayton RV Park (formerly Clayton KOA), Clayton, New Mexico

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

This park was on our way to Colorado Springs. Easy access off of SR 87. Easy in and out. Gravel lots. Use to be a KOA. Putt putt golf over run with weeds and in disrepair. Not much else in the area so good for an overnight stay. Utilities worked ok. No cable but easily got satellite . We camped at Clayton RV Park (formerly Clayton KOA) in a Fifth Wheel.

Cheyenne Mountain State Park, Colorado Springs, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This park was beautiful! Easy access from SR115 in Colorado Springs. Excellent base for seeing Pikes Peak and Garden of the Gods. Pull through site was concrete pad. We stayed in site 2 and had a great view of Colorado Springs lights at night. Beautiful sunrise and could hear reveille from the near by base at Fort Carson. Price included the $7/day entry fee. We camped at Cheyenne Mountain State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Sunrise RV Park, Texarkana, Arkansas

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

We stay here overnight a couple of times a year. Easy in for late arrivals, which we usually are. Never needed a reservation. There are envelopes at the office with map and rates and we just pick a site on the left that's empty. Kids like the pool. When we've arrived late the host were kind enough to leave the pool open late for the kids. The sites are large gravel and easy to level rig. No trees to interfere with satellite. Utilities worked well. Close to expressway with expected road noise but wasn't apparent to us inside rig. Would have gotten a 10 but the large rocks used are murder to walk on. The park serves our purpose very we'll because it is easy to navigate when arriving after dark and the office is closed. We camped at Sunrise RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Shipshewana Campground - South Park, Shipshewana, Indiana

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful park. Immaculate. Great service from hosts. Easy in/out. Pull-through was plenty long enough for 35 ft plus tow vehicle. No fire rings at sites so if you buy their firewood, you'll need a portable fire pit or you'll have to sit a the group shelter where there's a fire ring. A little pricey. Would rate it a 10 if they had a pool. We camped at Shipshewana Campground - South Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Add-More Campground, Clarksville, Indiana

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We stay here every year because it's either here or another nearby park, which is higher. It serves our purpose. Crowded this year. Old park and utilities are set up where you're likely to have other campers cords and hoses running across your site. If you're lucky and no one is in the site behind you, you can leave your tow vehicle at your site, otherwise you'll have to park along the fence line. Needs major updating but we have stayed at this park several times and I don't think they intend to update. Not kid friendly. Was warned one time that children cannot ride bikes, etc. in park. Gravel roads and sites OK. Overall, OK as a base. Priced too high for what it offers but I guess price reflects they don't have much competition. We camped at Add-More Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
