Zane Grey RV Park (55+ park), Camp Verde, Arizona

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is, hands down, one of the best parks I've ever stayed at. Spotlessly clean, very friendly and helpful management, and very peaceful and quiet. Spaces are large with some pull-throughs. Big rig friendly. Sites are level. The park is situated on a river, so what you have is about a half mile wide swath of forest in the middle of the desert. HUGE trees and lots of shade. The river is gorgeous...beautiful trails lead you there. I could spend forever by the river. The park is 40 miles from Sedona, Jerome, and all the attractions of the area, so less than an hour drive, but away from the tourists and noise. I'd give Zane Grey RV Park 20 stars if I could. Can't wait to come back. We camped at Zane Grey RV Park (55+ park) in a Travel Trailer.

Turner Inn & RV Park, Mountainair, New Mexico

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Not really a destination, but a good basic park to overnight in on the way. The water spigots are shared between two sites. There were only 3 campers here, so not a big deal, but might be if it were full. Staff was friendly and helpful. One word of caution: the train is right across the street and runs frequently at all hours. We enjoy this sort of thing, but the noise might bother some people. We would use this park again. We camped at Turner Inn & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Sky Mountain Resort RV Park, Chama, New Mexico

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

What's not to love? Staff is very friendly, park is beautiful and well maintained. The map on their web site accurately depicts the size of your site, and most are spacious. Park is spotlessly clean, as are restrooms and laundry. Wi-Fi works well. This park is very quiet, no highway noise. River was running at a nice clip while we were here. There is river access for all campers, not just the waterfront sites. We drove through the other parks in Chama, and while they were nice, this one is the cream of the crop. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. We camped at Sky Mountain Resort RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
