Pioneer Village Campground, Minden, Nebraska

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

What a dump. Save your $38 ($35 for 50A hook-up + tax. Needs TLC is a kind understatement. Send in a bulldozer. So filthy, couldn't even touch the flush handle on toilet, used by shoe!! We camped at Pioneer Village Campground in a Motorhome.

Alum Creek State Park, Delaware, Ohio

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Large park with very spacious sites and a very nice beach for swimming. Main complaint is lack of security in park. When we arrived we just drove to our site and never checked in, and were never questioned! There were cars in and out all night blaring their stereos and we woke up to find that our cooler left outdoors overnight was depleted. Not that I'm not grateful they only took drinks, but the "safe" feeling is gone. If I had wandered outside with protection, it could have gotten ugly ... We camped at Alum Creek State Park in a Motorhome.

Austin Lake RV Park and Cabins, Toronto, Ohio

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Access roads to campground are slightly steep and slightly narrow, but an easy drive 2 cars wide, if you take your time and go the speed limit. (Follow park directions or GPS will take you on a very steep, narrow road). Everything is a 10, but for the swimming rules. Beach area is a little small and restrictive for such a large lake - but it is very nice. No floats beyond 3 ft shallow region? No swimming off a pontoon boat? For us, swimming in a beautiful lake is a major attraction. We camped at Austin Lake RV Park and Cabins in a Motorhome.

Guilford Lake State Park, Lisbon, Ohio

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Campsites are a little close together but there is plenty of length for RV. Many spaces for both pull-thru and back-in. Park is very clean as were the restrooms - just old fixtures. The lake is somewhat "murky" but overall a great family place to recreate. We camped at Guilford Lake State Park in a Motorhome.
