Green Acres RV Park, Redding, California

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

We were surprised to find a beautiful little RV park in the older section of town. Mostly long-term residents, but the park is kept in great condition. The staff and neighbors are welcoming and friendly. Backing in our huge fifth wheel was tricky, and the staff insisted on backing us in. Nice pool and patio area. Washer/dryers are very reasonably priced. Rate listed reflects the monthly rate. We were able to squeeze our dually and another vehicle on the site. We camped at Green Acres RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Be sure to see the Sundial bridge and bike/walk the Sacramento River Trail. We also enjoyed mountain biking on the plentiful trails. Costco, Walmart, groceries and major department stores are within 5 miles of the park.

Paso Robles RV Ranch, Paso Robles, California

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This is a meticulous maintained campground that we have spent several months at over the past few years. Our latest stay was for two months. The park is the best value for the area, and while it is certainly not a resort, it is nicely situated with a country feel with easy access to the 101 freeway. Site space varies, but ours was large enough for our large fifth wheel, two vehicles and our kayaks. Despite its proximity to 101, road and train noise was minimal.

We plan to come back here as often as we can when we are in the area. We camped at Paso Robles RV Ranch in a Fifth Wheel.

Cocopah Bend RV and Golf Resort, Yuma, Arizona

Date of Stay: January, 2016 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for the winter, so the rate listed is based on the monthly rate and does not include electricity. This is a 55+ park, with the sites arranged around the 18-hole golf course. The sites are spacious and generally surrounded by permanent park models. The park is quite large and features a very large pool/spa, cantina, restaurant, ballroom, library, the golf course, pickleball and tennis courts. Regular activities are planned during the winter season. Wifi was only available in the common areas, so we got Time Warner cable internet temporarily. Overall the park is very nice, especially for those who enjoy playing golf and participating in group activities. We camped at Cocopah Bend RV and Golf Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a WalMart in town, along with several grocery stores, a large shopping complex, many restaurants, great museums, special events in the historic downtown area, and a nice bike path.

Ransom Road RV Park, Aransas Pass, Texas

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $11.00
Overall Rating:

Rate reflects monthly rate and does not include electricity. We had a nice site on the canal with an extra pad. The park's facilities are meticulously maintained, landscaping is inviting. Close to town and boat launch. Staff is friendly and helpful. We have a large rig and were able to back it in with no problem. Plenty of width for slides and room to park two vehicles. We camped at Ransom Road RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
