Fort Stockton RV Park, Fort Stockton, Texas

Date of Stay: January, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Nice big Park. Lots of pull throughs so you can stay hooked up to your toad. West Texas parks are not in the prettiest part of the country and typical gravel and some grass spots. Spots are arranged so that you do have some privacy. Good restaurant and GREAT DOG PARK that is actually grass.. Will definitely stay here again. Check in was easy and people were great. We camped at Fort Stockton RV Park in a Motorhome.

La Loma RV Park, Santa Rosa, New Mexico

Date of Stay: February, 2017 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

park is basically a gravel lot with very tight sites. Great for a quick overnight. Some noise from road and railroad, but not too bad inside our motorhome. wifi worked great..unusual for a lot of RV parks. no cable, but got 6 channels on antenna and satellite worked well as there is no tree. We camped at La Loma RV Park in a Motorhome.

USA RV Park, Gallup, New Mexico

Date of Stay: February, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

This park gets railroad and airplane noise, although not too bad. Sites are a little close, but they kept they kept empty spaces between campers when we were there. playground looked nice. Wifi worked well. only complaint was that the dog park was FULL of dog poop. I picked up 4 great big bags, and still didn't make much of a dent. There were no bag dispensers at the park, and when I asked the guy on duty the next morning he said he didn't put any dispensers out because people took extra bags.... So I guess I won't be back.. my experience is that people will keep it clean if its easy too do. We camped at USA RV Park in a Motorhome.

The Palms RV Resort, Yuma, Arizona

Date of Stay: February, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Upon arrival this looked like a great park. The place is kept well, the dog parks are very nice. staff is a bit businesslike, but not offensive. Our first day we actually looked at extending our stay and looking for a permanent site or house in the park, but then tried the wifi. Great stay all ruined by the worst internet you could imagine. Tried for 6 days.. got on once...for about 45 seconds... If you don't need internet this might be a place for you, but everyone uses internet to stay in touch today.. told us we could go to the clubhouse and get on but... what a hassle. Selling lots for a lot of money...should use some of it to get at least some internet..and providing picnic tables wouldn't be a bad idea either. We camped at The Palms RV Resort in a Motorhome.

29 Palms Golf Resort, Twentynine Palms, California

Date of Stay: February, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Picked this park because of the off leash dog park. What a disappointment! It turned out to be a sand pile with electrical boxes in it ,with a fence around it. Pity too. there was plenty of room to double the size of the dog park, and irrigation around it that could have been used for growing some grass. Wifi was only available at the office. didn,t use the pool or showers. no Cable either. We camped at 29 Palms Golf Resort in a Motorhome.

The Cove RV Resort (formerly Riviera RV Resort and Marina), Blythe, California

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

This park is right next to interstate so there is some highway noise, but not too loud. Manager was very good and let us move after the first sight she assigned had something wrong with the electric and kept tripping our surge protector. Nice wide paved roads with ample room in each sight. Advertised wifi, but was so weak and slow I went to Mcdonalds everyday to keep up. Picked this park because the map on their sight showed a good sized grass of leash dog area. When we got there, the dog area was out on a peninsula and a quarter of the size the map showed. live and learn. They have a large area that would make a great dog park by the basketball courts, but it is just being wasted. Park would be a 9 or 10 if the dog park was there, bigger, and the wifi worked. We camped at The Cove RV Resort (formerly Riviera RV Resort and Marina) in a Motorhome.

Hacienda RV Resort, Las Cruces, New Mexico

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great park, well kept and in a great location, walking distance to Mesilla and great restaurants. Most of the sites have some shrubbery between the units, so there is some degree of privacy. Staff is super helpful and the cable and Wi-Fi are great. We had some problems with Wi-Fi and cable 2 years ago on our last visit, but definite improvement since then. They have coupons for shops and restaurants in the clubhouse. Would have rated a 10 except the pet walk was flooded and muddy, so the dog had to cleaned every time we used it. As we travel with a pet, pet areas are important to us. We camped at Hacienda RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Silver City KOA, Silver City, New Mexico

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

First, The managers were great, they really educated us on things to do in the area. Most of the park is mud with some gravel in the sites. There is grass, but mostly in the show areas. The pet area is pure mud, so is virtually unusable. The Wi-Fi was also virtually unusable, extremely slow and signal so weak it kept dropping my computer. It looks like they are trying, but Wi-Fi and pet areas are important to us. We camped at Silver City KOA in a Motorhome.

Love this place, great shade trees at every site. Hosts were very nice and helpful. Right in town and surrounded by city park. very quiet and peaceful. Only two problems and very minor ones for us, almost all sites are back in, and our electric hookup was on the wrong side. We camped at George Lane Memorial Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Lewis & Clark RV Park, Shelby, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Avoid this place!!!! Picked this park not being familiar with the area. But mostly because we needed to use the wifi to make reservations for the rest of the trip. When we checked in, we specifically asked if the wifi was good, and was assured it would be the best we ever had. Guy at desk even gave us a hint about putting the computer by a window in our motorhome as the fiberglass is what caused problems for any wifi. Turned out this was park owner speak for " OUR WIFI SUCKS BAD AND WILL BE UNUSABLE. When we first got there we were all alone and got decent wifi, but after 3 or 4 more campers pulled in it began to get very slow and unusable, so I decided to wait till everyone was sleeping to finish my wifi work. The park was empty except for 4 or 5 campers including us, and I thought that would surely work. I started trying to get back on at about 10:30 and kept trying till well after midnight. Could never get on. The next morning I asked the other campers there if they had any trouble. I got 3 "never could get on"s and 2 didn't try's. As you can tell I was upset... looking at the papers he gave us it says no wifi passwords will be given out after 9PM. I'm pretty sure he turns it off at 9, so it is not available for anyone. I had tried at 3AM when I woke up to go to the bathroom, and again at 6AM when I woke up. Ended up going to the Comfort Inn at 6:30am to use their wifi. When I got back to the campground at 10:00 in the morning the wifi was working again.

Other problems with this park are the layout.. all campsites are situated so that your front door and awning stick out into the interior drive so that if you want to sit in the shade of your awning, you are in the road and getting dusted every time someone comes or goes. I always like to end on a good note so "they had good water pressure". We camped at Lewis & Clark RV Park in a Motorhome.

Downstream COE, Fort Peck, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $9.00
Overall Rating:

Wanted to see Fort Peck Dam and didn't even know this park was here. Looked like a nice park. After going to the dam and refuge visitor center we decided to stay as it as getting late to travel very far. This was a very nicely maintained park, with some pull thru's. We camped at Downstream COE in a Motorhome.

Visitor center at dam was extensive. Only got to spend about an hour there but could have spent 2 or 3 going through nature exhibits and wildlife displays.

Fantastic restaurant at West end of Dam, with inside and outside seating. Did not fish, but that seems to be the main attraction for this campground.
