Mama Gertie's Hideaway Campground, Swannanoa, North Carolina

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Stayed on the upper level with a wonderful view. Sites were packed gravel, level, easily accessed with a motorhome. Upper level is open with a view of mountains. Lower levels have shade trees. CG is landscaped very good. Staff friendly and helpful. Full hookup - everything worked well. Water pressure is 45 PSI ,but adequate. Access to campground and to upper level has some steep climbs, but presented no problems to driving a motorhome. Guidance provided to site. We stayed in site #32. There are some newer sites under construction on upper level that will have an even more fantastic view with their own decks. We will be back! We camped at Mama Gertie's Hideaway Campground in a Motorhome.

EZ Daze RV Park, Southaven, Mississippi

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Easily accessible for big rigs. Recommend reservations. Suitable as overnight, short stay or designation. Lots to do in area. Other parks to chose from, but think EZ DAZE is #1. Only negative was that sites are a little close. Will stay again. We camped at EZ Daze RV Park in a Motorhome.

Capital City RV Park, Montgomery, Alabama

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is our 2nd stay at this CG. Sites are level packed gravel, long and pleasantly landscaped. All sites are pull-through with sun setting on driver's side of rig. Pretty play area for kids, large fenced pet walk or please of area to walk on lease. It is apparent that owner and hosts take pride in the campground. Close to Montgomery proper to be used as a destination for things to do in area. Sites 1-26A are premium near the water and recommend reservations. Some long termers, but all sites are neat and clean. Will stay again when in the area. We camped at Capital City RV Park in a Motorhome.

Lake Monroe Village, Bloomington, Indiana

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

One of the nicest parks we have stayed in this trip. We had a premium double wide concrete site with large wooden deck at rear of site with large shade tree. Lots of space and grassy areas. Neat hiking trails leading to the lake 1/2 mile away. Approximately 75% of sites are leased for long term, but areas are clean and it is apparent that campers take pride in their lots. Mostly pull behind units with most 5th wheels. Recommend reservations. Stayed in site 116. Definitely a destination CG with lots to do in Bloomington (home of IU). We camped at Lake Monroe Village in a Motorhome.

Stayed 4 nights in a motorhome. Nice pull-through gravel sites. Some grassy areas at each site. Campground is clean, pet friendly, lots of space for kids to run, a fishing pond, and play area. No shade trees but good satellite coverage. Would stay again. There is lots of do in local area, some require reservations. Camp hosts friendly and helpful.
