Double Lake Recreation Area, Coldspring, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2006 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed here twice in the past 5 months and were not disappointed either time. Really nice and private sites surrounded by forest. Nice long trails for walking and biking. A swimming lake to cool off and lots of picnic areas. They also have boat rentals. We camped at Double Lake Recreation Area in a Travel Trailer.

Lake Livingston/Onalaska KOA, Onalaska, Texas

Date of Stay: July, 2006 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

The owners here were very accommodating; as we were in need of a decent campground in order to escape the unpleasant one we were at. And this being 4th of July weekend. Sites were close but not on top of each other. Plenty of shade trees, just built a nice big pool and had planned activities for the weekend. The camp store also had a nice selection inside. The owners seemed like real down home people. We camped at Lake Livingston/Onalaska KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Lone Star Jellystone Park, Waller, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2006 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Your kids will absolutely love this park! There are plenty of things to keep them busy .. tennis and basketball courts, mini golf, petting zoo, hayrides, fishing, outdoor movie at night, all day planned activities on Saturdays and, best of all, the waterpark. The store and gift shop carry a very good selection of things without over charging. The newly built bathrooms and showers are clean and private. There are a few long timers but they are to one side of the park. Would have given it 10 stars but, in my opinion, the playground needs to be updated We camped at Lone Star Jellystone Park in a Travel Trailer.
