I love this quiet family campground! The transient sites along the ball diamond are well shaded and allow ample space for kids to play in the field across the 'road'. Although the walk to the beach is about 10 minutes (only 5 on the way down!) it is a lovely beach with some rocks and mostly sand. One thing that would make this campground even better would be 50 amp service for those of us who enjoy our air-conditioning without blowing the fuses.

I enjoyed the Shamadon Resort campground. As advertised, it was all nature. However, the only "upscale" part of the park were the prices. I asked about a trailer rental for my 72 year old in-laws, stating on the phone they would need a washroom in the rental unit. The original invoice was $130 per night. At that price, I was certain it was definitely "An Upscale Resort For The Discerning RVer" even though no photos were available. In actuality, the rental units would have been about average in the early 1980s. After friends of ours stayed in two separate units the weekend before my in-laws did, we were shocked at the condition of the units. (One worse than the other.) After inquiring a couple of times, we negotiated a lower price for the unit on the condition that it was thoroughly cleaned. In my opinion, they should not be renting out these units, period. Not even for $130 for two nights. The campground itself would have been lovely, if a little pricey, but those rental units were too close to nature, and left me with a bitter taste about the management, and the way their treat their customers.
