Cullman Campground, Cullman, Alabama

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This is a hidden gem. Nothing fancy, but a pretty little valley with a meadow with horses and donkeys. Long, level pull thrus with full hookups. Our site was open, which I like, but many sites have ample shade. Owner is a real nice fellow who met me outside the office, signed me in promptly and guided me to the site. Hard to beat this place for $24.75. Cullman is not far and has everything most people might be looking for. We camped at Cullman Campground in a Motorhome.

Tom Sawyer's Mississippi River Park, West Memphis, Arkansas

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is one our our very favorite places to stay in the country. With the Mississippi 50 yds out your front windshield, full hookups for $35/night.....hard to beat. Very well maintained park. A true hidden gem! We camped at Tom Sawyer's Mississippi River Park in a Motorhome.

Lady Luck Casino, Caruthersville, Missouri

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed here a couple times before and were very happy. At $20/night it was a real bargain. Went to check in and was told the rate was now $40 because they had suffered a lot of damage in the past year. At $20 it was probably under-priced. $30 would be fair, but for $40 we expect something special. A smoky casino and mediocre restaurant is not reason enough to bring us back. We camped at Lady Luck Casino in a Motorhome.

Jonesburg Gardens Campground, Jonesburg, Missouri

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Check-in was quick and easy and the owner was very nice and friendly. The rate ($38.88 including tax) surprised me. Halfway on our cross country trip, this was the most expensive park we have stayed at. Roads are narrow with trees hitting the coach roof and sides. Space was just long enough for our 40 footer towing. Could not get completely level. No cable, trees blocked the satellite, and we could only get three over the air TV channels, though they advertise 9. Could not receive Wi-Fi. For the price, I would advise choosing somewhere else. We camped at Jonesburg Gardens Campground in a Motorhome.
