Seal Cove Campground, Murray Harbor North, Prince Edward Island

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Nightly rate I submitted was Canadian. Very nice park with good views of the river. Our site was level and mostly grass. All hook ups worked well but keep in mind the hook ups are located at the very back of you RV. You may want to make sure you have enough hoses and electrical cable depending on where your connections are on your RV. This was not an issue for us. Directv satellite worked fine. Verizon signal was good but Wifi was poor however the office staff did tell us they were having issue with it and that they would be replacing some equipment after we left. Owners/office staff were very nice and helpful. Lots and lots of children and lots for them to do. Park was quiet. Easy to navigate even in a big rig. Laundry facilities were clean and well maintained. We definitely would stay here again. We camped at Seal Cove Campground in a Motorhome.

Lord Selkirk Campground, Eldon, Prince Edward Island

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park with clean restrooms and showers. We had a large pull through site with a 3 way hookup. Lots of grass and very level. There were a lot of children but park was generally quiet. Also a great sunset view right at the park. We would stay here again. We camped at Lord Selkirk Campground in a Motorhome.

This park is convenient to Orwell Corner, Wood Islands ferry is 20 minutes away, and 20 - 25 minutes to Charlottetown. Also only 5 minutes to Point Prim and a lighthouse with another beautiful sunset view. There is also a nice small restaurant at Point Prim that makes a wonderful seafood chowder.

New Glasgow Highlands, New Glasgow, Prince Edward Island

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This is a small RV park with very nice sites. Our sites were very private with trees on three sides. Full hook up worked well. As is the case for most RV parks the wifi was very slow or non existent. Too many people on the wifi. Roads are small but in good condition. The roads are narrow but our friends navigated around this park in a 44' motorhome without issue and there is a very large 5th wheel next to us and he had very little trouble getting into his site. Very nice park that I would have rated higher if the wifi was better. We camped at New Glasgow Highlands in a Motorhome.

The New Glasgow Lobster dinner is a must. Don't let the price scare you. It's one lobster but all you can eat mussels, chowder, soup, salad, dessert, and soft drink. Excellent food. Park is convenient to Cavendish and Summerside and all the attractions in the area.

Mill River Provincial Park, Woodstock, Prince Edward Island

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice park. There is wifi and it works very well. Our 2 way site was on grass and it was beautiful. We really enjoyed this park. Staff was friendly and helpful. Very quiet! Road to our site was small and narrow but the couple we are traveling with have a 44' motorhome and they moved around without issue. It would be helpful if the office staff either led you to your site or updated their park map but this is not a big issue. We would stay here again. We camped at Mill River Provincial Park in a Motorhome.

Highbury Gardens RV Park, Kentville, Nova Scotia

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

I must agree with previous reviews that this is a nice park with mostly shady sites, but too expensive. This is the most expensive park we've stayed in during our month in Nova Scotia and it is too expensive considering the wifi was terrible, no cable, and the sites are very close together. Restrooms and showers were clean and office staff was very nice and accommodating. Verizon connectivity here was slow but it did work. I would look for another park in the area if we can back mainly due to the price. We camped at Highbury Gardens RV Park in a Motorhome.

Digby Campground, Digby, Nova Scotia

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice park within walking distance to downtown Digby. This is our 2nd stay at this park. Wifi worked good as did electric and water. Laundry facilities were fine and pool was clean and well maintained. The reasons for the "average" rating is that the manager told us he could not open a 2nd exit because he has lost the key to the lock. The main driveway is very large and has easy access to the dump station but also requires driving out of the park on a blind corner and is somewhat dangerous pulling out of the park. The 2nd exit is a much safer way to exit. Since the manager indicated he lost the key a while ago I do not understand why he has not cut the lock and replaced it with a new lock and key. We would stay here again and hopefully the lock will be replaced. We camped at Digby Campground in a Motorhome.

Easy drive to Annapolis Royal and Port Royal and about an easy hour drive to Brier Island for whale watching that was excellent. Annapolis Royal and Port Royal are very interesting. Ask directions in the office for the fresh seafood market. Great fresh scallops!

This is a quiet park very convenient to Yarmouth and Cape Forchu. Showers were clean but small. Staff was very nice and park is clean. This is our 2nd time here and we would come again. We were here in a motorhome. We camped at Camper's Haven Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We enjoyed walking around downtown Yarmouth. Visitor center was very helpful. Cape Forchu is a must see as are some of the large old houses in Yarmouth. There is now food service available at Cape Forchu and it was very good and not overly expensive. The Firefighters Museum was also interesting and only cost $4 to enter. Lots of shopping in Yarmouth including Walmart, Atlantic Superstore, Canadian Tire, etc.

RayPort Campground, Martins River, Nova Scotia

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Although most of the RVs in this park were trailers and 5th wheels, we were able to get in with a 37' motorhome and a 44' motorhome. Access road was not in the best of shape but acceptable. Office staff was friendly and our site was very nice. We were parked right on the river which was a very nice site. Only a two way hook up but they do have a "honey wagon" if you do need to dump tanks while in the park. Although the restrooms were very old they were clean and acceptable. We would stay here again. We camped at RayPort Campground in a Motorhome.

Woodhaven RV Park of Halifax, Hammonds Plains, Nova Scotia

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is our 2nd time at this park. Very convenient to Halifax and the Peggy's Cove area. Park is well organized and easy to navigate. This year we were in 2 way sites near the office and the power was a little low, as was the water pressure, but this may be due to the park being pretty full due to Canada Day weekend. Wifi worked OK and staff was very helpful and friendly. We stayed here in a motorhome and would stay here again. We camped at Woodhaven RV Park of Halifax in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This is one of the best campgrounds we have ever stayed in. Nice views of the area. Well maintained grassy sites with good utilities and excellent Wifi. Sights were a little close but not uncomfortable. There is plenty of room for big rigs. Showers were clean and well maintained as was the washing machine area. Very convenient to the Newfoundland ferry. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We stayed here in a motorhome and would stay here again. We camped at Arm of Gold Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

This park is convenient to the Cabot Trail, Louisbourg, Baddeck, and The Sydney Miners Museum. The Alexander Bell Museum in Baddeck is a wonderful place to visit. The Sydney Miners Museum was very interesting and worth the 20 minute ride. We also really enjoyed Louisbourg and the Cabot Trail as well. These are all "don't miss" things to see.
