Tri-State RV Park, Matamoras, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Way over priced for a gravel parking lot. Road into park in awful shape. Cable TV had very little to offer. 50 amp was fine.

BUT my husband had seen on the good Sam website they offered a military discount. Turned out the discount was for $1. Kind of a slap in the face. We camped at Tri-State RV Park in a Motorhome.

Wakeda Campground, Hampton Falls, New Hampshire

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Really liked this park. More than we usually like to spend but had nice site in trees with 50 amp full hookup. Everything worked fine. Free Wi-Fi in the store/lounge which was open 8 to 8 every day. Nice store with ice cream and essentials. And very friendly and helpful staff. Large park, family owned previous farmland. Lots of annuals but sites were attractive and we'll kept. Surrounding area is beautiful and upscale. We camped at Wakeda Campground in a Motorhome.

Junction West RV Park, Grand Junction, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park for a night or two. In an industrial area so a little noisy early in the morning. But the couple running it make up for that. Very friendly and helpful. We camped at Junction West RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice little park on the owner's land. Grassy sites rather close together. This price was Passport America. Good spot for overnight camping, right off the road. We camped at Welcome Station RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Another nice FamCamp if you get to stay in the concrete pad area. The gravel area has sites very close together and short. Nice park area attached with large picnic area and splash pad. Will stay here again. We camped at Hill AFB FamCamp (Military FamCamp) in a Fifth Wheel.

Pacific Pines RV Park & Storage, Florence, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Wonderful RV park! Long concrete pads, full hookups, cable and Wi-Fi worked great. Very friendly owners and fellow campers. Several longterm residents but well maintained. Extremely clean showers, restrooms and laundry. Not really a place to "camp" in nature but great for a landing place to sightsee. Loved Florence and the surrounding area. Will come back and stay longer. We camped at Pacific Pines RV Park & Storage in a Fifth Wheel.

Thousand Trails - Birch Bay, Blaine, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2014
Overall Rating:

This is a 1000 trails park so we had no expense. Arrived during a Canadian national holiday so were lucky to find a good site with afternoon shade in Phase II. Phase I would have been a nightmare to park in a large rig as they have 4 sites connected to same connections (water, sewer, electric) and they are very, very close together. Phase II was nice. Very friendly rangers. Will stay here again. We camped at Thousand Trails - Birch Bay in a Fifth Wheel.

Fort Lewis Travel Camp (Military FamCamp), Fort Lewis Army Post, Washington

Nice park. Easy to get to off I-5. A little tight but doable in our 39 ft RV. Some sites nicer than others, but could receive free WiFi at our site #121. Nice commissary and outdoor center. Will stay here again if we can get reservations. Very full right now! We camped at Fort Lewis Travel Camp (Military FamCamp) in a Fifth Wheel.

Colter Bay Village RV Park -- Full Hookups (Concessionaire Operated) , Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $70.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park with friendly employees. Shaded pull-throughs, a little tight with the trees but doable. Expensive but okay for the area. They do offer a senior rate of $55/night. Not very level sites. Very close to Lake Jackson. If you want to tour the Grand Tetons or Yellowstone, I highly recommend Buffalo Roams Tours out of Jackson. Very friendly, great guides (we loved ours) and small groups (max of 12). A wonderful way of touring the area. We camped at Colter Bay Village RV Park -- Full Hookups (Concessionaire Operated) in a Fifth Wheel.

Fort Collins North / Wellington KOA, Wellington, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This was the closest we could get to Cheyenne for Frontier Days. Traveled with 2 other couples. Okay sites and we were parked together. But the flies were horrible (couldn't sit outside much) and in the evening, the stench from the neighboring farm (cattle ranch, whatever) was overwhelming and sent us running inside immediately. Will not stay here again We camped at Fort Collins North / Wellington KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Yakima River RV Park, Ellensburg, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

If not for the PA rate of $22, we would not have even stayed the night. We were told we "didn't need" sewer as we were only staying one night even tho sites with sewer were available. Pull thrus but so tight we had to ask neighbor to pull in their awning in order for us to park. Our slides pretty much touched theirs. Door side was very close to other neighbor who luckily wasn't there. No sewer but also NO bathhouses for showers, only a single portapotty! Would not even consider stopping here again We camped at Yakima River RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
