A much better park than the one's right next to the Casino. Nice, fenced dog area and nice layout.

Stopped by on the way from Dallas to Atlanta. Very good experience with the Diamond Jacks park in Shreveport. This park has been purchased by Ameristar and was priced accordingly. They quoted $27 for one night with no-internet, almost no space, and bad power. We ended up going to Magnolia about 1.5 miles away.

Date of Stay:

Road into and thru park is full of potholes and washouts. Park had no power for 14 hours while we were there. Operators suggested we run on generator till they got it fixed. Finally left when it was becoming apparent they were not going to get the power fixed. WIFI very spotty - works next to office but nowhere else. We wouldn't stay here again.

Decent overnight place. A little pricey for a gravel park with not much to do. If you are not into gaming, probably the best park in Shreveport, which isn't saying awhole lot.

A nice park almost halfway between Atlanta and Birmingham. Easy on/off to I-20 and good pull thru spots for overnighters. No amenities close, so plan accordingly. I use this park 7 - 8 times per year as a safe, clean overnight spot.

Park is full of full-time residents with one or two open spaces near the highway. Enjoy your sleep as "Jake and his Big Brakes" serenade you all night long. It's basically a gravel lot full of very old trailers and motorhomes. We planned on staying a week and left after 2 days.

A very nice park convenient to Asheville and local shopping. Very easy access and about 15 minutes to the Biltmore. Nice pasture area in back for dogs. They were installing a pool when we were there. I would stay there again.

A very nice campground that is VERY high in the air. Never thought I would see 8% grades east of the mississippi. Overall and excellent park with nice attention to detail. The drop in elevation from top to bottom is probably 200', so you aren't going to do a lot of walking. Out in the middle of nowhere, so you have to be content with the sound of nature. A very nicely done park, only needs a hot-tub and better wi-fi.

A great spot on the gulf of Mexico. We were here for four days in spot EX-4, nice but remote. We moved down to a site on the beach and it was a completey different experience. It's a lot of money ($72.00) per day but highly recommended. You get a private deck and easy access to the beach. I found this park to be as nice as Topsail down the road. We would return.

I would normally say 49 bucks a night is too much. But I think this place is worth it. Very nice sites with great landscaping and helpful staff. Great pool and spa were closed when we were there. Fantastic man-made waterfall. You have to have a nice Class A, so that makes it a little different crowd. But we enjoyed it and would certainly return.

The only 10 I have ever given. Excellent park, nice concrete pads, fantastic landscapes, very good water pressure. We stayed here over Memorial Day weekend and found it to be perfect. Warning.. Snakes were out and in full force. Several cotton mouths and 2 rattlers. Park guys said it was that time of year. Nobody was hurt, but they are scary to find in your camp. It's very hard to get reservations here, but we found that they always keep 10% available for first-come, first-serve drive-ups. That's how we got to stay a week of Memorial Day with no reservations.

I think the secret is out on this one. Louisiana counties seems to take their parks seriously, and the details are evident here. Nice waterfront spots with great cement trails around the lake. An excellent county park which we highly recommend.

An excellent example of a county run park. Nice, big spaces. Fishing and hiking and trails. A little bit off the highway, but highly recommend. We use it as a stop between Atlanta and the Florida panhandle.

Date of Stay:

Nice park with direct access to US183. Lots of permanent residents, but overnighters we welcome with large pull-thru spaces. Austin is about 45 minutes away.

A great overnight spot. Convenient to I-20 but far enough to be tranquil, safe and quiet. Not much to do in Meridian, but plenty of shopping.
