Springfield / Route 66 KOA, Springfield, Missouri

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

Nice older park. Close to highway. Gravel, somewhat unlevel sites. Lots of shade and good area for pets. Trains? Yes there is! Sounds like it's going thru the middle of the park, horn blowing, so if you are a light sleeper don't stay here. Sites are a little tight to get out of due to trees. We camped at Springfield / Route 66 KOA in a Motorhome.

Yakama Nation RV Park, Toppenish, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Quick check in. Pay for 6 nights and the 7th night is free. Paved roads and pad sites. Easy hook ups. They have both concrete pull thru sites which is more like a parking lot situation with just a planter in between sites or you can ask for a back in which is nice an grassy with plenty of space in between sites. Good grassy areas to walk pets. Wi Fi was a bit iffy but was great when it worked. Local channels came in fine on the tv. Would stay here again. We camped at Yakama Nation RV Park in a Motorhome.

Suntides Golf Course RV Park, Yakima, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We were very disappointed in our stay this time. Since we stayed here 10 months ago the park has become more of a permanent residence park. There was no one in the office when we arrived and we had to wait around. The girl in the office made a mistake on our reservation and we had to leave a full week early because she double booked the spot and because of the permanent residents they were full up. Seems like the road noise has also increased being as the park is right next to the freeway. Last year I gave the park a 10. Sadly this year will be a 4. Wi Fi was non existant and we couldn't connect. We camped at Suntides Golf Course RV Park in a Motorhome.

Kansas City East Trailside RV Park, Grain Valley, Missouri

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Check in went smooth enough although the ONLY place to park for check in had a sign that said "Don't park here". Pull thru sites are extremely tight. Sites are right on top of each other. We are leaving very early in the morning or I'm not sure how the RV next to us would maneuver his way out of his spot. Sites and roads are gravel. Although they claim to have Wi Fi I was unable to connect with any of my devices. FHU sites are very limited to we had to take an electric and water only site. All sites are shaded with a nice tree but with the sites so tight the trees actually became an obstacle. Not sure how this park became a Good Sam park but in my opinion it is not the Good Sam standard I am used to. I would not stay here again unless I had nowhere else to go. We camped at Kansas City East Trailside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Four Seasons Campground, Herrin, Illinois

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Quick check in. Gravel sites but seemed level. Pull thru sites for big rigs. Good WiFi. A really nice gated grass area for pets to run around without a leash. Plenty of grassy area behind, in front and between sites. Picnic table and a tree at each site. Park is not overcrowded at all and it's super quite. Staff is super friendly and really cared that we had a good stay. Even offered to give us a ride to the Chevy dealer in town where we were having our tow car serviced. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Four Seasons Campground in a Motorhome.

Happy Trails RV Park, Lebanon, Missouri

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Roads and sites are gravel but seemed level. Escorted to site after a quick check in. Friendly staff. A little hard to maneuver as there are lots of trees so go slow and careful. Located right off the highway but couldn't hear the traffic inside the RV. Huge grassy area for pets. Playground, pool, propane. They also have cabins there. Down side was no TV or cable because of too many trees. At least that was the case at our site #17. We would stay here again. We camped at Happy Trails RV Park in a Motorhome.

Wanderlust RV Park, Eureka Springs, Arkansas

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Quick check in with friendly staff and an escort to the site. Roads and pads are gravel but fairly level. Picnic table at site. We were backed up to the woods and it was quiet and peaceful. I gave it a 9 due to the fact that we couldn't get into the Wi-Fi Office said it was because too many people were on it. Nice grassy areas for pets. Would stay here again. We camped at Wanderlust RV Park in a Motorhome.

Level cement pads with grassy area in between. Separate cement pad for parking your tow vehicle. Picnic table at each site. Pet friendly with plenty of space to walk the dog. Best Wi-Fi we've ever experienced at an RV park. Door to door service if you wish to go to the Casino. We would definitely stay here again. Pleasure Island RV Park, Port Arthur, Texas

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Office was a little hard to find. They don't do any discounts and it's cash only even though the web site says they accept credit cards. The list of rules was the norm, except the statement "Don't tease or feed the alligators" The park is surrounded by water from the Gulf. We saw two while there. One in the pond in the center of the park and one in the inlet. Mostly come out at night so we tried to walk the dog before dusk. Concrete pads which were level. Sites are fairly close but there is a grassy area in between them. No shade and no pull-throughs. Rusty old charcoal grill at the site. Mostly used as monthly rentals for folks working the surrounding oil companies. Would stay here again in a pinch. We camped at Pleasure Island RV Park in a Motorhome.

The Cove RV Resort (formerly Riviera RV Resort and Marina), Blythe, California

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Located right off the freeway which was great. This campground is located directly on the Colorado River. Beautiful surroundings. Pool, boat rental, pet play area which was huge and grassy. Sites are grass and a little uneven but well maintained. The roads are paved. We were escorted to our pull thru site after a quick check in. WiFi was one of the better I've found. We would stay here again. We camped at The Cove RV Resort (formerly Riviera RV Resort and Marina) in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Huge park. Mostly park models but plenty of spaces for short term. Very well maintained park. Free coffee and ice in the office all day. Lots of activities. Two dog runs (dirt) garbage pick up at site. Propane delivery available. Pool/laundry/library/fitness center/ billiards. WiFi available only in the office area which is my reason for the 9 rather than a 10. We camped at Desert Shadows RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Desert Trails RV Park (40+ park), Tucson, Arizona

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Off the beaten path about 12 miles outside of town. Highway to the park is in rough shape, but once you get to the park it seems worth it. Very serene setting. Park is very well maintained and manicured, sites are gravel but very level. Not much shade but tons of plant life...cactus, wild life... Just a beautiful setting. Limited WiFi and no grass for pets, only gravel which is why a 9 instead of a 10, but it is desert after all. We camped at Desert Trails RV Park (40+ park) in a Motorhome.

Desert Willow RV Park, Van Horn, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

Easy to get to. Easy in, easy out. Entire campground is dirt and pea gravel but level. Small park, no frills, no shade. All sites are pull thru. Wi-Fi was fair. We arrived around 3 without reservations but entire park was filled by 7pm. Dog area was weeds and had a lot of burrs which is why I give a 9. Would defiantly stay here again for a one nighter. Office is open from 8 to 8:30 am. And 2pm to 6pm. We camped at Desert Willow RV Park in a Motorhome.
