Saguaro Co-op Park - Escapees Park (members only), Benson, Arizona

Date of Stay: November, 2018 - $5.00
Overall Rating:

Dry camp option is easy and economical. Coming off I-10 from the East, be prepared for a very sharp u-turn as you come off I-10 and into Benson. No reservations. Very friendly and welcoming community. Town center with good shopping is 2.5 mile's from park. No antenna tv (dry camper so no cable) but there was a TV in the clubhouse. The 4pm gathering was very friendly and welcoming. This is a true co-op community. Washers require liquid detergent, no powder. We camped at Saguaro Co-op Park - Escapees Park (members only) in a Motorhome.

Rock Hound State Park, Deming, New Mexico

Date of Stay: November, 2018 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

The road is paved right into the park up to the campground loops. Park at the visitor center and either walk the 1/2 mile to the campground and disconnect toad and drive in to survey the terrain and site availability. I had no trouble with a big class C and toad. If the area is experiencing heavy rain, I would stay in Deming until you are sure no flooding. This is an awesome place! It's the perfect place to do nothing. We camped at Rock Hound State Park in a Motorhome.

Victoria Palms Resort, Donna, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2018 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Lush oasis in the midst of all that the Rio Grand Valley has to offer. Everything about this place is above average. Most sites have large concrete pads that will accommodate your RV and tow vehicle and still have room for chairs etc. And your site will be surrounded by grass and lush palm trees and other beautiful plants in many areas. The location is central and makes visits to Mexico, State Parks (2), Costco, and shopping very convenient. The park recently upgraded all of the equipment in their gym. Beautiful pool with 2 hot tubs. Rate reflects approximate cost with Thousand Trails Zone pass+ Trails Collection. This is a 55+ park. No litter anywhere in the park, immaculate, beautifully maintained club house and common areas. We camped at Victoria Palms Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Drive 12 miles to Progreso and park on the US side. Bring a passport and quarters...2 for the turnsytle going in and 1 for the turnstyle coming home. Walk 1 block from border entrance on Mexican side to Panchos bar (and cafe). There are 2 TX state parks in the area, one 28 m and one 12 m. Be careful walking or biking outside the park there are no sidewalks or bike paths. Also, outside the park, there can be wild or loose dogs. Stores are crowded, go grocery shopping before 9AM.

Overall Rating:

The park is on narrow back roads. We made it with our Class C and Honda CR-V in tow. The lanes are Barrie with no shoulders. Happy Hollow loop has paved sites with W+E There is a large grass area to play or relax and catch some sun. Be careful if going in here with an RV over 35'. Cascade River State Park, Lutsen, Minnesota

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

We host here and wanted to update the reviews. Most of the sites now have electric (30/50 AMP) service. You can make res online sameday without incurring a res fee. (MN DNRsite). The 2 year old bath house has private restrooms and showers, open seasonally. There are a few sites that can accommodate big rigs. Office hours are very limited, check MZn DZnR website for details. You reserve your site online and go directly to your site if you have an annual pass on your vehicle. Cascade restaurant is a short walk S on Hwy 61. Traffic moves fast on Hwy 61, be careful when walking or crossing. Keep young children very close when hiking in the area, there are steep drops and lots of eroded areas. We camped at Cascade River State Park in a Motorhome.

Florida SKP Resort - Escapees Park (members only), Wauchula, Florida

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Must show Escapee membership card upon check in. Lush green park with lots of grass and palm trees. Large sites with FHU...wifi works well. 4 miles to Winn Dixie..7 to WM. Rural area park overlooks orange Grove on one side. Clean pool area. This is a great "time out" park to get away from the hustle and bustle and relax. Lots of rental options (FHU, overflow w 20 AMP, dry camp) which makes this a unique option. This is a co-op park, small community feel. No doubt visitors could participate in morning breakfast, and other social activities if desired. Nice area (not fenced) to walk dogs. Have proof of rabie shots. Convenient money saving location 4 miles from Publix Grocery. Friendly staff and friendly neighbors. Older park with mostly seasonals, some in rough shape. Grounds and roads very clean and good condition. Wifi free weak at site, better at pool. Their friendly people and liberal POA discount available even now during peak season are 2 big pluses.
