WaKeeney KOA, WaKeeney, Kansas

Date of Stay: November, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed here on our way through Kansas before and have found it to be very nice and the staff very friendly and helpful. Because we got there later in the season than we have previously the pool was closed which is understandable, and my own disappointment. We camped at WaKeeney KOA in a Motorhome.

Gunsmoke RV Park, Dodge City, Kansas

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

The place was okay for a place to sleep for the night except for the busy street noise and train. The owner informed us she would not be accepting dogs next season. Sites was open and dirt pad. We camped at Gunsmoke RV Park in a Motorhome.

Indian Flat RV Park, El Portal, California

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

The sites were difficult to negotiate even for our 30 ft coach. Once parked each coach was front to front with little room to walk in between. The hookups were awkwardly placed. If we backed in, our door opened into a tree, if we drove in, as was the preferred method, our door opened over a slope. It was all dirt with minimal gravel. I cannot begin to convey how rude and confrontational the white haired "host" was. We had just driven up to our campsite when my sister-in-law came over to ask if we could be together since he had originally said it would not be a problem when they came in 2 days prior. He suddenly, in a nanosecond, went ballistic... screaming and with arms flailing. I found him to be crude and rude. I usually feel somewhat safe in most campgrounds...not at all here. This guy has no social skills, nor people skills, and definitely has no business in any position dealing with the public. He is in desperate need of some anger management! We camped at Indian Flat RV Park in a Motorhome.

Bull Run Bluff RV Park, Camdenton, Missouri

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is obviously old and has seen much better days. The majority of sites are permanent residents. They also store RVs and from the looks of them most have not seen an owner in years. Very dilapidated surroundings. More of a storage for old cars, heavy construction equipment, and rundown RVs. A few of the residents kept their sites neat and clean; however, they were in the minority. It was about a 200 yard walk down a very steep hill to get to the lake?. We were extremely disappointed. Definitely not the campground represented on their website...in fact, it was 180* opposite. We camped at Bull Run Bluff RV Park in a Motorhome.

Roaring River State Park, Cassville, Missouri

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

The only downside and the only reason I could not give this campground a 10 is because there was no water or sewer hookups. The campground is beautiful, lots to do, hiking several trails, fishing, swimming. Looking forward to going back. We camped at Roaring River State Park in a Motorhome.
