Aside that it is a very expensive campground, the washrooms and laundry areas are in rough shape. Very run down and dirty every time I went to use them. Fire pits are a joke. They are constructed out of a metal washing machine tub mounted on a lawn mower. All this for an additional $10 rental fee. Main park area is treed and quite nice but the area for longer term campers is on a dirt and gravel site with bare minimal trees. It rained while I was there and that site was just a big soup hole. My review though is based more on the human factor. The staff are friendly and helpful with the exception of an older "gentleman" who maybe needs to retire. He is rude, abrupt and condescending. Instead of asking to see my receipt of proof of payment, he accused me sarcastically of not paying. He rides around the campground on a golf cart leading customers to their sites and then proceeds gruffly in saying something rude or offensive. They took my money no problem and then he immediately made me feel very unwelcome. I stayed here on a long weekend and would never stay here again.

Loved this campground! So many trees and feels like you stepped into the mountains. No hookups but beautifully kept. Lake is decent for swimming. Boat launch and beach. There is no store and nearest town is a 10 minute drive but if you are looking to get away from it all, this is the place to go.

The only thing this campground has going for it is its convenience to Calgary. We stayed here during the Oil Show and though we knew it was not a wilderness campground we were stunned to see how they pile units in. We could not walk behind our trailer as the unit behind ours was no less than 12 inches from our back bumper. Fire pits are at the front of lot right along side of road. No privacy at all. Sewer hookups are set up so that you have to run your hose into your neighbour's lot to hook up. It is also a major flight path for the airport and and is on a main highway, so quiet it is not. Would stay here again only if it was were last resort.
