Raton KOA, Raton, New Mexico

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

stayed for three nights site #17 pull through The park is somewhat small around 50 sites total . The bathrooms are old and dated however very clean water was good campground very good shape. There was a problem with sewer backup (not the park's fault) Went on a bike ride when we returned all was well my hats off to the owner did a wonderful job. I would use this place again for one or two nights maximum. Most people seem to stop overnight. We camped at Raton KOA in a Motorhome.

Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort, Colorado Springs, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed four nights. Campground was full; there seems to be many regular's that have there RV there full time. Campground is nice. It's a bit dusty, mostly due to the drought going on. All gravel roads. There is no reception for my phone or TV (none) ;got this complaint from my fellow campers as well. There is cable but beware its not at all the sites I found out after I settled in. There is wildlife in the park deer seems to hang around there most of the day which is nice, also was a bear in the park not so nice but rangers where present to handle the bear. Its not a bad park its not a park for us no TV is a bummer for us and no phone you can use the office phone if needed. WiFi was pretty good. Will not go back to this park. We camped at Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

You are out in the middle of nowhere; 12 miles either way for gas, farther for city enjoyment. There are several things you must do: Pikes Peak is a must if your on a motorcycle; we were. Cliff Dwelling and the cave of the winds where fun old town was nice great pizza place, all pretty easy to get to

Richards RV Park, Shallowater, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed for one night heading to Bandera and one night coming back. Perfect for what I needed. I paid the owner $25 for the night and asked if I could stay again in a weeks time when I came back. No problem, he would hold it for me. This is a good place to stay the night, nothing more. We camped at Richards RV Park in a Motorhome.

Soliel du'Coeur, Bandera, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for a week with the upcoming bike rally we wanted to attend. It’s out of the way from town very quiet area. The owner was very helpful even when I got lost . When we arrived she was waiting at the entrance to wave us to our site. Yes its a small park with no real extras. All of the guests were real nice and friendly telling us what to do and look for. This place is somewhat central located to get to larger towns if needed. Great motorcycle riding area close enough to do twisted sister’s Hill country in Texas. t is a great place to visit. I have no problem staying here again. We camped at Soliel du'Coeur in a Motorhome.

Tombstone Territories RV Resort, Huachuca City, Arizona

Date of Stay: February, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This was our first time at this park. The site's are very well set up lots of room between rig's. The laundry is good at $1.75 to wash and 25cents for 12 min drying time. Water pressure is low I am afraid they even stated you would not need and pressure gauge on your hose.I use the park shower's my wife used the rv complained of the poor pressure. I never had to wait to use a park shower but they only have 2 for the men and 2 for the women I would think they could use a couple more for the size of the park. There seems to be things going on they have a clubhouse with schedule for each week we did not join anything just went our own way. People friendly staff very helpful lots of trash barrels and they offer recycle. One thing to remember its colder here than places like Tucson or Casa Granda your at 4 thousand ft or bit higher. Nights got cold so you may want to come here maybe Feb or March well that's my plan for my next trip here. I would stay here again. We camped at Tombstone Territories RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Val Vista RV Park (55+ park), Casa Grande, Arizona

Date of Stay: January, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

we had site 166 reserved when we made the reservation however they gave that away and we where placed in 213 somewhat tight since or neighbor parked a second trailer against our site made our site look smaller O well. Most of the park people where very friendly there seems to be a lot going on I am sure there was something for everyone. We did not do any park scheduled events. We stayed for one week the wi fi was bad I know wifi can be hard to get but this was the worst that I have encountered while traveling. As far as being an RV resort not sure that is correct there are more parks models than RV's I was told that they keep 20% for RV's which seem correct however a lot of RV's are permanent. The sites are nice if you have a park model people show pride in there yard's and there housing very clean and well kept .This is a long term park and thats what they cater to I understand that and I cannot commit to long term we will not return We camped at Val Vista RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Tucson / Lazydays KOA, Tucson, Arizona

Date of Stay: January, 2018 - $57.00
Overall Rating:

The park is very nice been to several KOA they all seem to pride themselves on keeping a good appearance .This is the first time at this one and I would return good location friendly staff. The other guest seem very nice they have fruit trees through out the park help yourself . There is cable tv with many channels to choose from . Wifi is a lot better than many places I been to as we all know wifi can be very spotty due to the amount of people using it I must admit this is pretty good for the # of people in the park. I f I had a problem well it is a KOA and they tend to be a bit pricey however I knew that when I sign on you want a nice park with nice big pull throughs well your gonna have to step up and pay for it. We camped at Tucson / Lazydays KOA in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

I have stayed at this campground on five different occasions I feel its a great park to spend a night or two . We use this park easy entrance from I 10 big sites so not to have to unhook car. No wifi unless you pay extra no problem for overnight. The gals running the office have always been very nice. There seem to be more permanent than I remember but glad they enjoy it there. Bottom line need a place for a night or two I would stay here cheap enough everything worked . We camped at Dream Catcher RV Park - Escapees Rainbow Park in a Motorhome.

Angel Fire RV Resort, Angel Fire, New Mexico

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

First trip here very nice area up in the mountains. The park appears very new there are nice landscapes throughout the park. The site are spread apart nicely lots of room most sites are drivethrough. Yes there is no shade as the fellow before me stated I would hardly call it a parking lot . Depending why your coming here I trailered my motorcycle and travel around very outstanding areas to see along with I saw a lot of fisherman and hiker's there was horseback riding four wheeling zip lining. I am spending a week and I will return We camped at Angel Fire RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Mostly a transit park, sites were large enough and the campground was mostly empty. Did not have to drop my car, only stayed one evening. There is no cable and wifi was not working . They did mention something about buying something for internet however we did not. If your looking for a place to just stop for a day or two this is fine and I will stop on the way home.
